I don't know country of origin, I would assume USA. Its main use is virus protection (flu protection). I take it during winter and flu season.

Does this Enzyme Defense replace Virastop 2x?

I had the same question when I ordered Virastop 2x and got Enzyme Defense. Then I compared bottles and they are the exact same ingredients. Today, I finally noticed that the new item has a small note on the front: "Replaces ViraStop 2X!" I guess they feel better about the new title, which doesn't sound so much like a guarantee to stop every virus in its tracks. Moreover, it does more than that with its enzymes: gets those little virus particles out of the way!
