Strange stuff. It works incredibly well as a thickening agent, you probably need about one tenth of the volume of cornflour. Having said that it gelatinises (?) almost immediately so you have to start stirring straightaway. Other than that it is tasteless, which is what you want, and this jar will last a long long time.

The trick with this is to first mix 1-3 grams with some protein powder, and when that's dry, mix thoroughly, then add room temperature water reasonably quickly, whilst stirring. Be aware that the more you stir the thicker the mix, so when you have it at a drinkable consistency, don't mix it further, down it in one. Ideally drink this mixed with a large glass of water or milk and have extra water ready. Do not make it too thick and don't try to swallow dry powder down your throat, as Glucomannan Powder has been known to get stuck in people, then expand in the oesophagus. Which has a particularly nasty and long lasting side effect of suffocation. Drink with water and you should be okay. The benefits of a water absorbing fibre such as Glucomannan is that it bloats with water as it passes through the gut. Some people say this process makes the less hungry. It's by no means a cure to starvation, but I would agree having Glucomannan Powder mixed with protein shake before a meal is going to decrease your appetite. I'm not sure it's the unappetising gloop that put me off my food. Or the fact it was filling - which in fairness, it was for an hour of two. The most noticeable benefit came as a double edged sword as Glucomannan Powder is a prebiotic. The sugars in the fibre are only broken down in the lower intestine. Add some psyllium husk, and a spoon of inulin with a reputable probiotics starter and you're about to discover not only how a brewery works, but that you've just made one inside your belly. As this starts to ferment in your stomach, methane and alcohol are produced as by products. After a few hours your friends will start to notice why breweries smell. Alas, you won't feel the benefits of the alcohol as the amount produced wouldn't get a possum drunk. At this point you'll have very few friends left, but your gut will be teaming with healthy friendly gut bacteria. In life you lose friends and gain a few. These fantastic fellas should help keep your cholesterol low. And that is a price worth paying for having no friends. I would also add oats to this diet as not only do they make great prebiotics, they contain glucans which are very likely to keep you healthy and alive far longer than you probably deserve. Don't take my work for it, look it up in a proper journal (not Fakebook, NuTube or Instatwit.) A simpler way would find a man in his 90s looking far more perky than he is entitled. And ask what he eats that puts a skip in his step and a smile on his face. His answer will surely be a bowl of porridge every morning, followed by a Guinness or three while he hides from his misses for the rest of the day. Not that the guinness makes much difference matters as he's a walking brewery. Sorry, I just realised this is my fantasy...

See above this product is great I take a level teaspoonful in a glass of water with my last meal to stop craving for carbs at night. Highly recommended for someone or anyone who is dieting. Absorbs 50 times it’s weight in water and is highly beneficial to your health.

Arrived before time stated, got it to thicken my gravy and sauces whilst on the keto diet but also helpful for my sister who is coeliac, I can now make her some cakes. 😊

This product states use within 6 months when opened. My product was delivered on 13/04/22. I checked the use by date which was 21/05/22, giving me just 6 weeks to get the best out of my product, NOT 6 months as stated. Really really disappointed, I would avoid this seller and go elsewhere.
