HIDBEA One Way Privacy Window Film,Heat Blocking, Black,17.5in x 6.5ft

My storm door is fully glass with the top glass functioning as a window. I love leaving it open for air but I didn’t like that everyone can see Straight into my living room. I was also getting the strong sun rays which was kinda defeating the purpose of letting the air in through the door window. This product has really solved my problem. First off it was super easy to install, it included everything you need for installation. First, I cut the film to size, next I used the mini spray bottle it came with to spray, then I placed on the film - shiny side facing outside, and lastly I used the scraper it came with to take out all the bumps. It was so easy and came out really nice! The film is easily removable, and can easily be reinstalled. My baby pulled it off my door twice. I just repeated the installation steps and it looks good as new. One thing to take note of is the privacy tint only works in day time. I installed at night and thought I did something wrong until I read the title “Daytime reflective mirror”. If you’re looking for some privacy on your windows or just want to keep the sun out in the summer I highly recommend this product!!!

Summer in the hot and humid southeastern US can be brutal! Our kitchen and living room windows get beat on by sun and can make the house warmer than we prefer. Our ultimate goal is to replace our windows, but for now, this is our solution! The window tint was so easy to install- what others said about the more water you spray, the easier to install is spot on. Instantly my room was darker and cooler (the ultimate outcome!). I only planned on doing this to our 4 kitchen windows, but the results were great and I tinted 2 living room windows that let in the most heat and our master bedroom. Results in all spaces include real temperature change! Our installation happened to coincide with our electric bill, so next month’s bill will reflect how this may reduce our electric costs. Overall, excellent product, very easy to install, absorbs light well, creates a “mirror effect” from the outside looking in (so there’s a strong element of privacy, if someone desires that). We can still see outside clearly too. This has been a great choice for reducing summer heat.

This one-way privacy film works well for daytime privacy. The mirror effect looks good from outside and blocks visibility into the room effectively. Installation takes patience - use plenty of soapy water and a squeegee. It does help reduce heat and glare. The privacy effect only works during daytime, at night with interior lights on you can see in, which is expected for this type of film.

Easy install, really works and looks great. The temp in my room dropped 5 degrees! 3 tips: -Upon arrival, loosely re-roll the film in the opposite direction otherwise it will constantly roll up while installing. Re-rolling the film takes the “spring” out of it. Careful not to kink it and let it stay rolled for at least 24 hrs. -Spray plenty of mildly soapy water on both the window and film so you can easily adjust placement. You can’t use too much water. -After applying to window, mist the film when using the squeegee as it makes the process so much easier and faster.

I have a standard size window and the role of privacy material I ordered does not fit my standard size window. It is too narrow.. I have to go out and purchase installation equipment to install the privacy material. I don’t remember seeing this in the instructions when I purchased the privacy material. It might be there, but I might have overlooked it, but it didn’t stick out for me to see. I hope the review helps.. before you purchase the privacy material. Please make sure that you measure your window before you actually buy the product because I didn’t measure my window. I just assumed the smallest they had would at least fit a standard size window not the case.

This product was somewhat difficult to install and set up. During the daytime, it provides the privacy I expected, but at night it's a different story. When the lights are on inside the house, I can't see anything outside through the window film, while people outside can see clearly into my home. I understood before purchasing that the one-way effect only works during the day, but I didn't realize how significant the visibility difference would be at night. As a test, my partner stood directly outside the window after dark. I couldn't see him at all, yet he could see me clearly. While the product performs as described, I feel it's important for buyers to be aware that it can create a privacy and safety concern at night unless curtains or blinds are used.

I live in a ground floor apartment and the grassy area outside is used as a periodic thoroughfare. Needless to say, having curious passerby's peering in is not welcome. I explored various options but this fit the bill. It was a breeze to install and hopefully will withstand weather changes over time. It was the perfect solution for my need for privacy!!! Affordability, ease of installation, and a solution that doesn't scream- STOP LOOKING INTO MY WINDOWS YOU IDIOTS... but is subtle and effective at blocking peering curious eyes from seeing in. Perfect!

Finally, I Can Be Nosy in Peace I bought this window film because I wanted to see outside without the entire neighborhood seeing me standing in the kitchen dressed like I’ve completely given up. Installation required water, patience, and several minutes of pretending I knew what I was doing. Once it was up, though, it looked great and gave the window a nice mirrored appearance during the day. Now I can watch delivery drivers, neighbors, and random people walking by while remaining safely hidden like a suburban surveillance operative. Just remember: the privacy effect works best during the daytime. At night, with the lights on, the window basically reverses roles and puts you on television. Five stars. Excellent daytime privacy and a powerful reminder to close the curtains after dark.
