Absolute game changer. Had a nightmare changing 16” Brompton Schwalbe one tyre after puncture. Unbelievably tight on the rim. Broke my two Brompton tyre levers, couldn’t get the tyre off, had to walk to work. Commuting 35 years and never been unable to remove a tyre. Work colleague recommended this and wow! 5 seconds to get tyre off and absolutely brilliant in getting tyre back on too. Only regret is not having purchased sooner. Still swapped the tyres out for Conti’s. This made it a pleasure. Get one, or two!

Anyone with tight tyres, or race or commuting tyres, should buy one of these. I LOVE MINE.Does exactly what is described. I have used mine for a year or so, and it has made the drudgery of repairing a puncture in the rain by the roadside, slightly less awful. It really does work. Sadly, after probably 10 or 15 uses, (uses "in anger", as you might say), the plastic lip on the edge of mine cracked off, but that is what happens to any plastic tool when used over a sustained period - and I am totally happy with the product - if it was metal, or firmer, it would risk tearing the tyre or inner-tube.I have immediately bought a new one, and am saving the broken one, because it is still sort-of useable, just not as good as it was. Also, I want to give the new one an easier life.The tell-tale sloppiness of the back wheel, or terrifying nervousness of the front wheel, when the puncture fairy strikes, fills every cyclist with dread. It is almost always raining - because that is what lets those awful bits of flint stick up straight and lacerate the tyre. It is almost always dark, because in the light you can avoid those fling-patches a bit. And it is almost always cold - because it is in the winter that it rains most at commuting-times. So there you are at the roadside with cold wet numb hands fumbling around with the patches and glue - only to then wrestle getting the tyre back on. This device makes that wrestling a lot easier, and also getting the tyre off a lot easier.I have no reservations about recommending this product, and have recommended to countless friends - no cyclist should be without one of these !!!

It didn't work on my mavic deemax rims & curio uk blue tyres which the concept is great it has scratched the decals which they are replaceable & the nylon filled with glass seems quite strong as i have tried to bend it for fitting purposes & it doesn't really bend at all maybe if they made a aluminium one of carbon fibre mixed with nylon as it would be a lot stronger even if it's more expensive as of to have three different material versions of them all even in different colours as everyone doesn't like black (i don't) as of for people to buy too. Maybe they work better for racer type of tyres which i feel it's the tyre company that are not making the bead long enough on tyres too you can see on one picture there is just to much materials of tyre which is so tight that it never going to get over the rim too. I have read wtb tyres fit quite easily over rims but they don't do blue tyres & i want blue tyres on my bike which it's a shame there isn't a website we people can go on as of to find out from everyone where they can use the search engine to find out what tyres fit what rims by with us all to leave information of what fits & what doesn't too. Me i may have to buy more blue tyres to find out what fits my rims & i hope i don't have so many different brand of blue tyres & to find out not of them fit too. Also have you ever seen a cap stretcher why not invent something like that for tyres as if just to stretch them some bit by bit as of for the tyres to fit rims perfect too. Hope This Helps.

There are some bike wheel and tyre combinations that can be a real pain to fit. Using normal tyre levers they can be hard to remove but the same tyre going back on can be almost impossible.By chance I saw a Youtube video of some using one of these and it looked pretty effective so I took a punt with one of these. It needed some thought as one of these is several times more expensive than even some "named" levers from say Park Tools (which mine are).However I'll be honest - this is a revelation. Once you have worked out how to use to remove and install tyres (you use it differently depending what you're doing) it is really quite easy. I did need to read the simple instructions the firstGetting the tyre off relies on hooking the short edge under one of the beads (it took a bit of a knack I found) but once that was done the and the tool run round the rim the tyre was off. To get a tyre on you get one side of the bead on first as normal and then mount the tool on the rim and basically push it round and the bead is pushed on. It did get quite tight near the end but there's plenty of area to push on and I got a tyre on in about 2 minutes that had taken over 10 minutes or so using the "traditional" method and my thumbs were still in one pieceThis is now my go to tool for tyre mounting.Don't worry about the price and whether it'll work - it will and really well. I am a convert

Handy, compact, lightweight and it does work. I'm not sure that "glider" is quite the right description - despite a liberal application of talc (to the tyre...) it required all the strength I could muster, jams and takes a fair bit of jiggling but it does do what it is designed to do. I didn't slip, I didn't wreck my thumbs and I didn't get a pinch flat putting a new Specialized Armadillo on a road bike rim. So I'd say it's better than conventional levers but it's not the revolution I was hoping for. I reckon the guy on the YouTube "how to" video is using a stretched old tyre or a lot of silicon lube to make it look so easy.

I have Rheumatoid Arthritis, which has mad my wrists weak, with poor grip. I needed to put new tyres on my bicycle, and having prevoiusly struggled with tyre levers to get the old tyres off and on (had to ask my partner), I resolved to buy this gadget, determined to do the job myself. Watched a few you tube videos for hints and tips on how to use it properly, then went ahead and used it. The joy of a tool that does the job it is supposed to! I put the new tyres on first go, then discovered I had been a bit of a numpty and had put them on facing the wrong direction, so I took them off, turned them round and re-did the job. Clipping the tool onto the rim was the most fiddly bit, (I am left-handed, and this is clearly a tool for right-handed use), but once it is on it stays there if you are using it correctly. Next time, I may lubricate the tyres to make it even easier. The trick in getting the tyre on is to stop once it gets tight, then squeeze the tyre all the way round, so its sits well into the rim, before resuming. I think the price is very reasonable for a tool that gets the job done. Highly recommended.

Well, I saw the video on Facebook and thought it would be worth a try! To be fair, I’ve never had problems fitting tyres, even tight continental tyres on awkward rims, but thought this looked like it would make it even easier..The very first time, I took my time, made sure everything was as per the instructions..aaaaand it sliced a hole straight through the side of my inner tube whilst fitting the last section of tyre!No warning, no tube visibly trapped between the tyre bead and the rim, taking it nice and slowly, and the ‘feel’ changed slightly; I stopped straight away and did not fully install the tyre, instead, I removed it all and found that the sharp edge had sliced through the tube like a hot knife through butter.I hadn’t noticed there were some sharp edges and assumed it was all as it should be, but sadly the tube is now un-repairable..I proceeded to fit the tyre with another tube and used my hands like normal with no issues at all, it wasn’t even a tight fit..In fairness, it does seem like a potential solution for tight tyres for those without strong enough wrists or hands, but you have to go very carefully. Having paid a lot for what is essentially a glorified tyre lever, I will keep it for emergencies, but it will not be my ‘go to’ tool for tyres.. I’m my opinion, tubes are just as vulnerable to this thing as they are to any other plastic tyre lever...Although that being said, in probably thousands of tyre changes (spent time in the trade) I’ve never ruined a tube when installing until using this, so read into that what you will; maybe tubes are more susceptible to pinches with this??Maybe I got unlucky with a mis-shaped one or one with excess flashing left on it or something, but if that is the case, then quality control can’t be very good!

This is a great little product and an invaluable tool to have in your kit if you change bike tires on a regular basis.If your one of those crazy cyclists like me who changes tires two or three times a year, wet weather, dry weather and all season tires for those unpredictable months buy this tool.. you will not regret it!Why did no one invent this 30 years ago?, the struggles it would have saved me. This is tire removal and installation made easy.It’s made of a strong plastic and feels very comfortable in hand. There is a short learning curve but after using it once it becomes second nature.No more struggling with six to eight tire levers worrying about damaging the tire beading, just hook it under the tire and start sliding.I’ve taken too carrying it with me on rides incase I get a puncture and need to install a fresh inner tube on the go.Nothing worse than sitting on a curb side struggling with a tire, we’ve all been there I’m sure.
