Excellent sound and quality
Got this just to be able to play my CD collection in the kitchen so secondary to my main stereo. Tried small players which had a horrible small sound so eventually chose this based on reviews of its sound quality. The unit itself looks fabulous and feels very well made. The sound is big, clear and really punchy with terrific bass and very clear treble. It has several different equaliser settings from the remote control which can modify the sound mix to your taste. It easily passed the test of blasting out heavy metal in full glory and also playing classical music with a lovely clear sweet tone and great depth. All this for a fraction of the price I paid for my first stereo 40 years ago, now that's what I call progress!

Personal Review of the Roxel RCD-320 Micro HiFi System from an Audiophile’s PerspectiveAs an audiophile, I'm always on the lookout for audio systems that strike a balance between quality, features, and affordability. The Roxel RCD-320 Micro HiFi System caught my eye because it offers an impressive set of features for a budget-friendly price. After spending some time with this compact system, here’s my honest take on its build quality, features, and sound performance.Build Quality and DesignRight out of the box, the Roxel RCD-320 impresses with its solid build. For an entry-level system, it feels robust and well-constructed, far from the cheap plastic feel you might expect at this price point.Design: The system features a sleek, minimalist look with a brushed finish that gives it a modern touch. It fits seamlessly into most home decors, whether in a living room, bedroom, or kitchen.Build: The materials used feel durable, and the system has a good weight to it, giving off a sense of quality. The buttons and knobs are tactile, providing a satisfying click with each use.Compact Size: Its compact dimensions make it perfect for small spaces, and it doesn’t take up much room on a shelf or counter. However, it's still large enough to look substantial rather than flimsy.Display: The LCD screen is clear and easy to read, displaying track info, radio stations, and other settings. It’s bright enough for daylight use, but it lacks a dimming feature for low-light environments.Feature SetOne of the biggest selling points of the Roxel RCD-320 is its extensive feature set, especially at this price.CD Player: The system comes with a built-in CD player, which is becoming a rarity these days. It handles standard CDs and MP3 discs without any hiccups. The disc loading mechanism is smooth, and playback is reliable.DAB/DAB+ and FM Radio: For radio lovers, the DAB/DAB+ and FM tuner is a fantastic addition. It offers clear reception, especially for digital stations, with minimal static. It even comes with a decent preset memory to store your favorite stations.Bluetooth Connectivity: The Bluetooth function is straightforward and reliable. Pairing my phone was effortless, and the connection remained stable even from another room. It’s a handy feature for streaming from Spotify or other music apps.USB and AUX Inputs: There’s a USB port for playing MP3 files and an AUX input for wired connections. It’s a great option if you want to connect other devices like a turntable or an older iPod.Remote Control: The included remote is a convenient addition, allowing easy control from across the room, though it feels a bit lightweight compared to the main unit.Sound QualityHere’s where the Roxel RCD-320 gets a bit mixed from an audiophile's point of view.Bass: The bass is present, but it's not as deep or punchy as I'd like. It’s adequate for casual listening but lacks the richness and fullness that would make bass-heavy tracks really shine. If you’re into genres like hip-hop, electronic, or anything bass-driven, you might find it a bit underwhelming.Mids: The midrange frequencies are reasonably clear, making vocals and instruments like guitars sound decent. However, there’s a certain flatness to the sound that doesn’t quite capture the warmth and detail you’d get from higher-end systems.Treble: The treble is crisp but can become a bit harsh at higher volumes. This might be noticeable on tracks with lots of high-end detail, like cymbals or string instruments, where it can sound a bit shrill.Soundstage: The soundstage is quite narrow, which is expected from a compact system. Don’t expect the immersive, expansive feel you’d get from a more premium setup. It’s fine for background listening but lacks the spatial separation that audiophiles often seek.Volume: On the plus side, the 40W RMS output is impressive for its size. It’s loud enough to fill a small to medium-sized room without much distortion, though it does lose clarity if pushed to its maximum volume.Price-to-Performance RatioThis is where the Roxel RCD-320 truly shines. Given its low price, you’re getting a lot of features that are usually reserved for more expensive systems. Here’s a breakdown:Value for Money: At its price point, it’s hard to find a micro HiFi system that offers a CD player, DAB/DAB+ radio, Bluetooth, and USB playback all in one package. If you’re looking for an all-around system that covers multiple formats without needing separate devices, this is a great option.Versatility: It’s a fantastic choice for someone who wants a single unit that can handle everything from radio to Bluetooth streaming to CD playback. It's especially good for casual listeners who want decent sound without investing in high-end audio gear.Pros and ConsPros:Excellent Build Quality: Feels sturdy and well-made, with a modern design that fits in any room.Feature-Rich: Offers a lot of functionality, including CD playback, Bluetooth, DAB/DAB+ radio, USB, and AUX input.Great Value: For the price, it’s hard to beat in terms of features and build quality.Compact and Space-Saving: Perfect for small apartments, kitchens, or bedrooms.Ease of Use: User-friendly controls and a responsive remote make it easy to operate.Cons:Average Sound Quality: The sound is decent but not exceptional. The bass is underwhelming, the mids are flat, and the treble can be harsh at higher volumes.Limited Soundstage: The audio feels confined, with a narrow soundstage that lacks depth and separation. No Advanced Audio Settings: There are limited equalizer options, so you can’t tweak the sound to your preference beyond basic presets. No Wi-Fi or Smart Features: Lacks modern smart functionalities like Wi-Fi streaming or integration with Alexa/Google Assistant.Final ThoughtsThe Roxel RCD-320 Micro HiFi System is a great budget-friendly option if you’re looking for an all-in-one system with plenty of features. While the sound quality isn’t going to blow an audiophile away, it’s more than adequate for casual listening. The build quality, versatile feature set, and ease of use make it a solid choice for those looking to add a compact audio solution to their home without spending a lot.Overall Rating:Build Quality: ★★★★☆ (4/5)Features: ★★★★★ (5/5)Sound Quality: ★★★☆☆ (3/5)Value for Money: ★★★★★ (5/5)Would I Recommend It?If you’re an audiophile looking for a premium listening experience, this might not satisfy your cravings for rich, immersive sound. However, if you’re on a budget and need a versatile, feature-packed system for everyday listening, the Roxel RCD-320 offers great value. It’s perfect for casual listeners, small spaces, or as a secondary audio system in your home

Great little unit
Bought to replace old kitchen cd/radio as wanted a device able to play content from phone via Bluetooth. This also has ability to play from usb devices but not tried that yet. Simple to set up, though storing the radio channels to specific numbers was a bit tricky, but got there in the end. Having DAB radio is good and now the norm, but we live in place with terrible reception so did not get many channels, will try with different ariels at some point, but just use FM for now as can get the channels I want that way. Sound quality is very good for the size and price, a bit mellow and can output for different music types. Bluetooth works a breeze,so can now listen to podcasts, Spotify etc properly. Handy remote control. Just waiting for the kids to get tired of connecting their phones to it and playing fart noises.

Excellent music player with USB connection and well worth the money.
The best music player I have bought for years. I've been searching for a CD player and, in particular, with a USB direct port and, at last I have found it. It is so easy to use and I was amazed at the brilliant sound. If you are looking for a player which is simple to use with a very responsive remote control, and, as in my case, can play USB flash drives with a great sound, then you will not go wrong with this piece of equipment. I am delighted with it. Living in a rural area I have never been able to use DAB, and so far I haven't on this machine either but I intend to work on the aeriel arrangement to try again. However, the radio I can manage without and it doesn't affect my enjoyment. Excellent music player and arrived the following day.
