This is a great chess set. I'm new to chessboards, so I've read the reviews, and this is my personal judgment. My board came without damage. All pieces are good. The inlay that the pieces sit in was not glued down the best, but it still fit snugly (by my own choice, a smidge of double-sided tape now keeps it in place). I've bought the chess and checkers set. They are all magnetized to a good standard, making it travel-friendly despite being a big board. Overall, you are getting a good deal with this set for its quality. Definitely worth the money.

A great chess set. My son loves it. He had for Christmas and he’s always playing me and beating me!!! It’s a great value gift for the price. I wouldn’t say it’s massively portable but it can travel in the car for use elsewhere. It’s durable and well made and seems like it will last years. Magnets have good strength and do not move about like other cheaper sets. A great game for the family.

very nice board and pieces and both the chess pieces and checkers are magnetic which is not the case with all sets , also the knights are well made and look good. No funny eye sockets. They are a nice shape. very happy except for the stick on numbers and letters that go around the edge, I’m not even going to try to put them on in case I make a mess of it. And I find the clips on the board a bit difficult to close.

A good starter set , the pieces are a good weight feeling comfortable in the hand and meet the standards set down by the Uk chess governing body, there are an additional queen of each colour for when a pawn is promoted. All the pieces fit into the folding board for easy storage.

I really like this chess set. It’s the first one for our family. It came with Coordinate Stickers which are very neat. Coordinates are useful when teaching younger players how to play (it should be mentioned in the listing as I almost didn’t buy it because of that). Both chess and checkers pieces are magnetic.

Amazing board set. The pieces are beautiful and easy to organize. I looove that it has both options for chess or checkers and a smart way it’s stored. Keeps my boys occupied for hours and durable. A plus, that’s not advertised, is it has a felt case for the board!! One of the reasons I almost didn’t get it was because I wanted a carrying case or general case to protect it from scratches. It feels very luxe, so definitely a beautiful one to gift as well. Very stable and just beautiful in general. Highly highly recommend.
