Great device
It has an automatic sensor and good air purification technology, it automatically detects when the air quality is poor and starts up on its own, it is quite quiet and the lower setting and even on the higher setting it is not too much of a nuisance. It is very light although it is not small but also not big in size, it's very good quality and value for money especially on the discount that I got meaning it cost about £110. It does not disturb my sleep at all in fact it has helped with sleep considerably because I can breathe better through my nose due to the reduction of allergies. I saw this written in a lot of reviews and was dubious however it is true, I wish I had got this sooner. Overall the functionality is good it is quiet and works as expected and looks like a good quality device.

Fresh Air All The Time
Purchased due to having a night time cough made worse by opening the window at night. The unit is neat and easy to operate. Mode 1 - Auto mode which cycles between a very low fan speed which increases if the unit senses a rise in particulates in the surrounding air. Mode 2 - Night time mode, lowest fan setting for minimal noise Mode 3 - Fan speed 1 Mode 4 - Fan speed 2 - max, much louder but clears the air much more quickly The sensor light moves between blue (cleanest) to green, to white and finally red It is has a default setting for particulate sensing that can be altered in addition to the light on the unit can be mostly dimmed at night for minimum light intrusion. The unit has 3 filters - a dust filter (easy to clean), a carbon filter and a hepa filter (both are recommenced to be replaced every year or less depending upon the environment it is being used in. Having used the unit for a week I have found the air in our bedroom feels much fresher and even on fan speed 1 with the lights dimmed at night it is not intrusive. Generally very pleased but will be interested to see how it performs come the spring and hay fever season.

Nice design, works very well.
I love this air purifier. First, it does its job very well! It purifies the air so well that I get excited when I enter my room cause of the air quality. My place was dusty and had some paint smell, and I felt like I couldn't sleep well because of that. But after having this purifier, I no longer smell pungent and my sleep quality increased. Second, I really like this design. The color matches well with my white wall. Also, since it's rectangular shape, I can put it away in between furniture when i don't use it. Sometimes i intentionally leave it there cause it's kind like a nice looking object in my room. Third, super silent. It's very, very quiet. Somtimes I forget to turn it off cause it's sooo quiet that I don't even notice my purifier is working. 100% recommend purchasing it.

Great unit with hidden "smart" capabilities.
My home is quite modern, so it was hard to find an Air Purifier that didn't stick out too much. But this is easily one of the nicest looking air purifiers you'll find. It's a nice size so fits nicely next to a side table in the living room, or bedside table at night. We have a large dog who sheds a lot, so it was important to us that it be able to cope with fur and dander without clogging up, needing constant filter replacements, or breaking easily and it has definitely stood up to the test in the 6 months since we got it. In that time, we've not had to change the filter, but give the pre-filter the occasional vacuum as general maintenance. Even if you didn't, the design of the unit means that the dust shouldn't gather visibly on the exterior. Though if you're forgetful, it also has a small LED to let you know when the pre-filter and actual filter need to be changed. It also has a light to indicate the current air quality, which can be turned off at night if it would keep you awake. Since getting this we've noticed that the air on the floor it is on feels much cleaner, doesn't have any bad smells (not even wet dog after a bath), and there's less dust in the air and collecting on surfaces. For operation modes, there's auto, silent, 1, and 2. We normally keep it on 1 in most rooms, but will put it on auto in the bedroom as it'll typically idle at silent but occasionally bump up to 1 if needed. My only negative is the auto mode. It's probably perfect for most people but I do occasionally wish I could set auto mode to not use silent. It is based on the current air quality, but I'd personally like it if I could have it idle at 1 and kick up to 2 if needed. A side note for anybody looking for a smart air purifier: While this one isn't smart, it nicely remembers its settings when you disconnect the power, so can be used with a smart plug if you need. If it is on when you turn the plug off, when you turn it back on it'll start back right where it left off. Bonus!

Satisfied 100%
Very quiet, without annoying sound, very sensitive to air quality. The only downside it is not suitable for medium, large rooms, only small rooms

Exactly as expected
This air purifier lives up to its claim of the HEPA filter having an extended 12-month lifespan. I’m writing this review when coming back to buy a new filter after a full year of continuous use. This despite the unit doing the heavy lifting of cat dander and cat litter dust. I clean the pre-filter using the vacuum every 8 to 10 days. The unit automatically ramps up when the litter box is used or we’ve been cooking, then goes back to being near silent. People with cat allergies have been able to tolerate visiting our space so the HEPA filter is doing its job properly. The unit covers the kitchen/diner/living areas of our average sized 2-bed flat.

Very good, relatively small, extremely silent filter in silent mode
The filter is not pure white, it is a soft white that will blend with domestic white walls (not "hospital" white walls) if I had to guess I would say it is the standard RAL 9010 white colour code. So very pleasing. First impression is that the outer plastic is non rubberised, a bit hard and a bit cheap to the touch but it is thick and sturdy and won't become sticky as rubberised plastics can become after a while. But once the filter is in place, in the corner of a room, who cares? So now the better part, filter is in three parts but very easy to install. Because the filter is flat with frontal intake you can position it against a wall as long as the intake is not obstructed. The fan has 3 speeds and sounds good at all speeds: it is quasi-inaudible in silent mode, quiet in speed 1 and quite noisy at speed 2. But contrary to the small Winix round filters I also own, it is quieter in silence but the quality of the sound is better at all speeds, at all speeds it sounds like "wind" noise, there is no irritating fan noise, no high pitch noise. I find that to be the most significant advantage of this filter over others I own or have owned (being allergic to dust mites and pollens). As to the following quality, it has passed tests by authorities in various countries so that is good enough for me (and I can feel it with my reduced allergy symptoms). Highly recommended.

A good machine with a flawed design
AirMega 150 Good points: Despite being hundreds of pounds cheaper, this machine is quieter and less noisey than my Dyson Formaldehyde purifier. The Dyson does not make a consistent level of sound, and at night when trying to sleep there is some form of random rattle/ squeaking sound that is very distracting. The Coway on the other hand makes a very smooth consistent sound that is completely not intrusive. Seems to work well. Can spray some deodorant and the machines auto mode detects it very quickly and very quickly gets rid of the smell. Looks nice (I got the sage colour) Pre-filter easy to remove and clean. Customer service responds quickly and is professional and helpful. Bad points: I was not aware at purchase that the machine will automatically switch from the Auto setting into the Silent setting after the machine has detected good air quality for 30 minutes straight. At this point the machine completely comes out of auto mode into silent mode, and is unable to switch itself back into auto mode. The issue with this is that if you leave the house for work, and get 30 minutes of good air during the day, the machine will go into a low power state and will no longer react if the air quality goes bad again. This means you could come home from work and the machine has essentially been doing very little for potentially hours, which isn’t ideal if you have hayfever for example where you need the machine to always be monitoring for pollen in the air. Customer service advised this was an energy saving feature. My argument to this is that the machine should not go into a state where it stops monitoring the air quality until manually switched back into auto mode. By all means if the machine isn’t detecting anything, it should power the fan down, but to have the sensor turn off after 30 mins and for the fan to go into a low powered setting is not a good design. The problem then is that if you know your air quality fluctuates throughout the day you need to leave the machine on speed setting one or two for the entire day, which will actually use more electricity than is likely needed. Coway needs to amend the design of auto mode in such a way that the machine is still able to monitor the air quality at all times and adjusting fan speed accordingly, not where the machine puts itself into a low powered state in which it completely stops monitoring air quality until manually set back to auto mode. For this reason I don’t think the machine is actually that useful, particularly for those with allergies, nor do I think the auto mode and energy saving aspects of the machine have been thought out right.
