Bossman Relaxing Beard Balm for Men (Magic Scent) – Tames, Relaxes, Thickens & Softens for Ultimate Beard Care – Made in USA

First off, I'd like to mention that it's rare for me to ever take the time to write a review on a product. This stuff is just too good that I feel like I need to say something about it. My favorite beard balm company is no more and I'd decided to get a head start on my beard before the cold seasons come around. I typically don't like to take chances on new products that I can't test before buying. I'm not a very big fan of "manly" smelling things. I prefer a sweet/vanilla scent. That's my preference, be it unpopular or not. I searched for a vanilla scented beard balm and immediately came across Bossman Magic Scent. Although I couldn't find a very thorough description on the scent in the product description or customer reviews, the reviews were postive. I looked no further because this caught my eye... JELLY?? Wtf is beard JELLY!? This sound ludicrous, absolutely bizarre, yet intriguing. So crazy that I just might need to give it a shot and I'm so glad that I did. I decided to go all out and buy the conditioner, jelly, and balm. My beard is about an inch long and started to get that dry, wirey feeling, looking out of control. After using the conditioner in the shower, I patted my beard lightly with a towel, squirted a bit of the jelly into my hand, massaged it into my beard, and combed it in with my beard comb. My beard already felt and looked a million times healthier. I followed up with a bit of balm. Using a boar hair brush and a beard comb, I fluffed and shaped my beard. I was seriously blown away with how these products transformed my beard. I've used beard shampoos, oils, balms, a waxes before. None of them have had this sort of effect on my beard. Now, onto the scent. I was pleasantly surprised. I tried really, really hard to try to describe the smell without looking at the ingredients. The closest I could get is "it smells like Stewart's Orange Cream soda and shea butter - not really citrusy, warm, slight spice, a hint of patchouli (but not overwhelming), creamy vanilla." The ingredients listed on the container: shea butter, cocoa seed butter, mango seed butter, sandlewood oil, bergamot oil, frankincense oil, patchouli oil, and vanillin natural. These products kept my beard looking, smelling, and feeling great all day long. Light and soft, not thick and slick like other products I've tried. I don't have many friends who can grow a beard like I can, but for those friends who can, I'm absolutely recommending Bossman. I can't recommend a single item. It's all or nothing here. The conditioner, jelly, balm combo is the only way to go. Trust me, fellas. This stuff is seriously awesome.

This is a really high quality beard balm. This is the first balm my wife likes the smell and does not feel oily. I am able to use it twice a day and it conditions my beard very well. I like the Magic Scent and how fresh and manly it smells. I'm able to easily get my beard comb through my beard and my beard looks a little bit more full now. I would recommend this to anyone. Like all beard balms it starts off a little oily but to my surprise through out the day it just works its way into my beard for a nice hold and conditioner. I wash my beard about twice a week now and like that this balm does not feel greasy at all the next day. I'm going to buy another tin for sure, I have already recommended it to my Dad. I cant believe this balm is not more popular. I took the time to review other Bead balms online and I decided to buy this one because if the quality ingredients and the sandalwood oil is amazing in this one. I am interested in trying out the "BOSSMAN Jelly Beard Oil" next. I have not bought it yet but the Balm says to use it first then use this balm.

It has a refreshing, clean fragrance – but not in a shaving cream or detergent way – that reminds me of being in a field during summerlike weather. The vanilla notes seem to come out more when my face and beard are warm and damp, but it quickly fades. To me the patchouli scent trails the vanilla and lingers longer, giving it an earthy-musky, manly aroma. I’ve not detected any of the citrus notes. The wife and daughter have all said they enjoy the smell of it on me, commenting on how clean it smells. I enjoy the firmness and white color of the balm. It’s easy to use the fingernail to grab a dollop (normally about ½ the size of my thumbnail). The feel of it is smooth and creamy, and it melts nicely in hand, so you’re ready to rub it in rather quickly. My beard feels soft and conditioned – and the scent makes me feel good too. It doesn’t feel greasy, and any residue on your hands can be wiped onto arms and such to moisturize. It has a light to medium hold, so fly-aways are still possible. Overall, it’s a good quality product that I would consider purchasing again.

After having used this product and the accompanying oil for about 6 weeks, this product is great it relaxes, moisturizers, protects against fly-always all while keeping beard nice, neat, soft and keeps skin from becoming dry which leaves your beard flake free. As for scents everyone has what they like, the scent is not over powering but imo has a bit to much patchouli-ness. To be fair I've grown to like the patchouli scent that is more pronounced in this and the Gold scented balms/oils. Used all 4 scents and for me Hammer(sort of classic barber scent) and Stage Coach (sweet and manly)are my favourite. Tip- would be get all 4 scents in the balms see which scent works for you and then use the least favorites at night after shower(this is what i do) by morning the scent is gone leaving only behind a slight patchouli scent that is in all 4 scents anyway. Then get the oil in the corresponding scent and you are g2g.

I will post this review for Bossman jelly and balm. And keep in mind that I write this only IMHO. If you have a "man-scaped" beard of 1/4" or less...oil will serve you well. Oil will moisten and soften the short/long stubble of a beard of that length. Continue to trim "fly aways" and you'll be good to go. If however your beard goes into the 1/2" or greater you need to consider some other products. Those being Bossman "Jelly" and balm. While I am not blessd with the "Jaw Mane" that the Bossman has...the principle is the same. My beard is currently about 3" +/-. Without product it looks like a blowfish. Oil moistened but gave little control. Bossman Jelly yields awesome moistening and control. It basically serves as a slightly thicker oil for the beard. In addition, it helps with "fly aways"...but not to my satisfaction. With the addition of Bossman Balm, my beard is totally controlled throughout the day. A palm swipe-down of my chin and jaws puts everything into place. The stuff lasts all day! And if you keep the same comb with you that you use in your morning grooming, you'll get a little recharge of jelly and balm in the middle of the day. If you're starting out looking for beard care products...you can't possibly go wrong with Bossman beard jelly and balm. Since I'm now getting a little volume to my beard...I'm starting to test a few beard shampoos. But that's another day. Hey Bossman...well done. Your blog videos and other links on bossmanbrand.com are excellent (and current!).

It does help a bit with this pesky hairs that stand up due to rough nights of sleep but it's not perfect, it doesn't settle down all of them but you can see a difference from using and not using it. My only issue is that i use it on my whole beard and if sometimes I lick my lips just for moisture my mouth starts to taste funny it could be just me but then it feels a bit numb. Sorry if it sounds negative but I'm not trying to be , this product is good, i can't give it 4 or 5 starts because it's not exceptional, it's just good, does the trick but not 100% the scent is very powerful, I'll go with no scent next time. As far as do I think you should buy it, i don't see why not, it's not expensive and for the money it does a fairly good job , I'll keep purchasing.

I have just received my second tin of the relaing balm magic scent. I ordered because of my satisfaction with the first one. The aroma is amazing and the bears balm is not prone to get hot and turn to juice and "beads" like some competitors. I can sometimes be in a very warm climate and this made useing the "others guys" unpeasant as it took a bit of work to get them back to being usable. Bossman stays consistently like it was when stored properly. It also holds well, protects and moisturizes my beard and it seems to provide a softer beard. My beard has improved with this product. Part of that may be that I have a tendency to use it more due to it's scent, more gentile hold and confidence it is working.

I like the smell, long lasting, great hold, keeps the fly away to a minimum
