New Feet for old 6' Aluminum Werner Ladder with Rubber-Only Feet + got One Spare Pair of Feet
I only needed the larger pair of the two pairs of rubber feet replaced on an old Werner aluminum ladder, so I bought this kit which actually gave me two pairs of the larger replacement feet. The smaller pair of front rubber feet were still okay on my ladder, so now I have an extra set for a future repair. This helps to justify saving the old aluminum ladder (which they don't make 'em like they used to) versus getting a new one for only double the cost of this repair kit.You need to drill out the old aluminum rivets using a 3/16" drill bit and just drill/ream out the bottom part of the rivet (secondary head) just enough for the rivet to fall out. Then new holes need to be drilled. You will need to align the foot flush with the bottom and outward facing side of the rail (look at a picture of a fiberglass Werner ladder's feet). Centerpunch your two holes per foot and drill 3/16" holes. The washer and nut go on the inward facing side of the rail. The nut is pre-pinched for a tighter fitting nut and no need for a lock washer, but it will make tightening tedious as you will need to hold down the bolt head all the way with another wrench. After installation, my old ladder worked perfect and stable, even more stable as the feet were slightly longer and wider than the original. The ladder folded up fine with no interference from the new feet. These feet are a little beefy compared to the ones on my Werner fiberglass ladder.***Note: For the amount of money charged, these feet should have had a better finish. These feet are basically cut off from aluminum channel stock and rubber feet riveted on afterwards. The cuts were not finished and were left jagged sharp, and I had to file them smooth which isn't hard since they're soft aluminum but shows poor workmanship especially for a safety-related and exposed repair piece.

saved my ladder
I put these on a stepladder. the worked well. I did drill new holes, but not concerned about that. the old ones had lost thier rubber and wer sliding and marking the floor. now it is good again.
