Badger Reef Safe Mineral Sunscreen SPF 50, Zinc Oxide, 2.4 oz Tin

Absolutely a must have. I feel confident in knowing that this product is human, animal, earth, and reef safe, AND it has provided me and my pale family complete UV protection for the past 2 years. I wanted a product free from harsh chemicals and ingredients that also protected us from sunburns and UV damage. This one delivers! A little goes a long way, & it stays put! I don't mind that it is thick and can be felt on the skin. That's how I know it's still there. It wears well in the lake, ocean, and pool. Even my child with red hair, and the palest skin of us all, does not burn when we apply this. I have found that I have to really much less than traditional sprays and lotions. Badger provides seamless protection and I recommend it to everyone. I will be a lifetime customer 🤍

This is a total win for me! I am allergic to chemical-type sunscreens, so a mineral-based sunblock is necessary. I am also a scuba diver, so a non-nano REEF SAFE sun protectant is a must. Water resistance is also desirable. But most sunscreen products that fit this profile leave a white paste all over me, get in my hair and color it gray. When I found Badger, I was skeptical about the "clear zinc" claim... after all, zinc protects from sun by creating a physical barrier. However, I needed something for a week of diving in the Cayman Islands and took a shot. Here are my results: Even though I spent about 6 hours per day in the direct sun, I did not get sunburned anywhere I used Badger! I did get a touch of burn on the tops of my ears, but that was my fault for being negligent. The product goes on somewhat thick and whitish, but mostly turns clear with a little rubbing effort- not a lot though. I put it on before a 60 minute dive and after I got out of the water, it was still working (my legs were still "water repellant")! I even floated around in the pool for 2 hours every day for a week and did not get burned or break out in a rash. Plus I felt good about not adding harmful chemicals to the coral reef. I hope they never stop making this product- it's the only one I will use. I even have it on subscription. If you are looking for a strong, non-allergenic, reef-safe, clear mineral-based sunscreen that stays effective during water sports, you've found it.

I love this sunscreen! For starters it is organic. I never burned once and have such a nice tan. It is not sticky like some and rubs in nicely; makes my skin so soft it was a good price and it WORKS! It lasts quit a long time. I spent every day in the Ocean ALL day long and had plenty of time for it to be used and know how it works. This was the only lotion my little grand daughter could wear without it stinging---she got burned using another brands kids lotion. She could wear this with no problem ! I highly recommend it!

Took this on a 3 day house boating trip in 97-104 degree, clear sky, direct sun and swimming, this protected us well. Thick as heck but it rubs in well and did not leave a white cast on light-to-medium skin tone. I will be buying more, at least for the most vulnerable spots — can supplement with cheaper stuff everywhere else. I’ve gotten burns from sitting in a park with other 50 spf but 3 days on a boat was perfectly fine with this stuff!

I use it and it works for me, since I am yet to get burned while laying out in the Texas sunfor over 1 hour during the summertime. It is water-proof as promised. You do have to follow directions of applying 15 minutes before going outside. You have to let it thicken and dry on your skin. I do apply a layer of rasberry oil, olive oil, and carrot oil on my body prior. Onl rasberry oil on the face.All those oils are USDA certified. It is very thick and feels greasy, even if it is the beewax working. I have to use a spatchula to layer it on my back. From what I read from other reviews, this product is not for every skin, since some got burned (maybe they did not follow the directions like reapplying very 80 minutes and wainted the 15 minutes prior to going outside. Not sure.) or they had allegic reactions (some people got hives), so be careful and test yourself prior to constant use. I give it a 4/5 Stars because it does feel greasy, it sucks when working out, it can give you acne (it does block face pores, so shower every night after use or face the consequences of acne), it is not USDA certified (What is up with that? 98% organic and no USDA certified seal?), and it requires a sponge with soap to scrub it off when showering (it is thick). No sunscreen is perfect, but it is 98% natural ingredients and the closes to USDA ceritifed standard by virtue of been mostly natural ingredients. I thought about making my own sunscreen, but not a single "uncoated zinc oxide" is USDA certified, many are from Asian counties with counterfeits (it is your skin, so why risk it with fake products and/or toxic products like lead), and it is hard to test/validate SPF results without lab equipment. The other options is traditional sunscreens, but those other sunscreens are full of chemicals. I wish Badger gets their USDA certified at some point, which is why I cannot give it a 5/5 Stars without such a seal of approval.

I love this sunscreen, I get it every year during the summer time for Camp, Pools, and Lawnmowing! I think this is extremely healthy ingredients! Please don't sleep on how rare non-toxic sunscreen can be, and if you feel up to it, try and read the ingredients:Zinc Oxide and Sunflower Seed oil are both ingredients that are edible! (although PLEASE do not ever try, due to zinc poisoning) Zinc Oxide here is the same Zinc that pills use for supplements, so literally, is non-toxic! And the "Broad Spectrum" qualities remove wrinkle risk from UV-A rays, and also the Zinc mineral sunscreen qualities:reflect sunlight and therefore heat away from your skin!

This stuff is greasy! I prefer sunblock to sunscreen, and Badger does the job. But the greasy feel is awful. I didn't finish the tube; I threw it away. So far, the best sunblock textures I have found are Bare Republic and Trader Joe's spray-on sunblock. These two sunblocks dry on your skin after a few moments and are only slightly tacky. They both make me kind of white, which doesn't bother me. Sunblock stays on me longer than the two hours stated while I hike, work in the garden, or exercise outside in the heat. It stays on in the water too!

Really impressed with this sunscreen. It feels gentle on my skin, provides solid SPF 50 protection, and doesn’t have that strong chemical-sunscreen smell. I also like that it’s mineral-based and mostly organic. Great option for everyday use!

Kolay dağılıyor. Uygulaması da kolay. Kokusu yok. Fakat iyice yedirmek gerekiyor cilde, özellikle yüzünüze sürecekseniz. Ciltte ilk başta beyaz duruyor ama dağıttıkça azcık düzeliyor. Ciltte ki kızarıklıkları da kapatıyor ! Yüzünüz aydınlık oluyor. Güneşte kesinlikle yüzünüz terlemiyor, yanmıyor. Mükemmel bir ürün. Bu markanın her ürününü zaten severek kullanıyorum. Fiyatı döviz kurundan dolayı yüksek yoksa Amerika'da çok ucuz bir markadır. Fiyatını da hakediyor. Tavsiye ederim.

İndirimden aldım, ailecek kullanıp göreceğiz yaz mevsiminde. Kokusuz ve organik olması çocuklarıma daha sağlıklı olacağı için tercih ettim.
