BPS ‘Aqua Series’ 3mm Neoprene Water Socks for Sand, Beach, Soccer, Volleyball, Wetsuit Booties

I recently purchased the BPS New Zealand ‘Soft Skin’ Sand Proof Water Socks for a white water rafting trip in the 40degrees waters of the Snake River in Wyoming (Tetons area). This FL girl was quite worried that her toes would freeze in the cool June water temps, but these booties made sure they stayed warm and comfortable on my rafting trip. I cannot wait to use them at home in Florida when we go to the ocean for my beach and water activities. The 3mm neoprene material provided excellent insulation, keeping my feet warm in cooler waters. The anti-slip soles offer great traction on slippery surfaces, making sure I remain stabile and confident while walking on wet rocks or sandy beaches. The adjustable velcro ankle straps effectively minimized sand and water entry, making these socks perfect for beach volleyball and other shore activities. The fit is snug but comfortable. I did not have any issues taking them on or off.

I snorkel several times a week, and needed a pair of good booties to protect my feet in rocky areas. I have another pair from a different company, but they leak sand, and fit very loose. I saw these and liked the strap option, as well as the higher cut. I had a chance to use them last week, and they work fabulously! The fit was little big in the toe for me, but you can pull them up tight, then fasten the strap, and they stay nice and snug. I really liked the thinness of them, it was easy to feel my way through the rock as I was entering the water. My old booties would get loose as I was snorkeling with my fins, and usually the heel would stick out the back, and cause my swim fin strap to slide off! These booties stayed snug, comfortable, and felt wonderful during my last 2HR snorkel trip. Best of all, the strap feature kept ALL the sand out. I love not having to wash out my booties in middle of the ocean, because of sand! Also after snorkeling, when I took them off, my feet were clean, and free of cut. I'm super happy with these booties, and would definitely recommend them to anybody. It's worth it to not worry about getting infected coral cuts on your feet! Update- I just received my new set of booties, and tried them out. (Someone stole my last pair.) They fit even better than the first ones, the redesigned longer Velcro helps the fit, and they are even more comfy. This company is great to work with, and they will proactively help you with any problems of feedback you might have. It is so nice to see that there are a few places that do actually stand behind their products, and care about their customers!

So I do actually love these. They fit perfectly and are super soft. My reason for not giving them five stars is the soles don’t hold up well on gritty pool surfaces. I bought these for a water aerobics class and to protect my feet when pushing off the side of the pool during a lap swim. After one aerobics class I had multiple holes in the bottoms. Happily, the company was great to work with and immediately replaced them for me. They really stand by their product. That said, I don’t wear them for water aerobics anymore. The soles just aren’t sturdy enough. I bought regular water shoes with rubber soles for that. But I do wear them for my lap swim and they work perfectly for that. No more cut-up toes! And they aren’t at all heavy. So I do recommend them—just not for walking around a pool.

I wear a women's size 9 shoe. The medium was too big. I brought the small and they fit perfectly.

Reading the 1-star reviews, it is very evident that people are probably using these for unintended purposes. I purchased these to use under my flippers when snorkeling. It feels so much better having these on under the flippers. Without them the flippers rub against your skin and give you blisters. I'm going to say that if you are swimming with these or using them for snorkeling or diving, that they will last you a long time. The quality is good, and they are very comfortable and flexible. They are simple to put on and stay in place, they work well. Even if you only use them several times, you cant go wrong with this price.

I bought a low cut version of these and they were great. My feet did get wet but it was very minimal water and stayed around my ankle, never getting up around the toes. They kept my feet fairly dry and very warm. So I bought a second pair, a high cut style. Instantly I noticed the fabric was MUCH MUCH thinner than the low cut. Water gushed into the sock as soon as I put my feet in the water. My feet were soaked and freezing so much I had to get out after a couple minutes. I reached out to the company and explained the situation and was told that the way they stitch and glue the socks together it is to allow water to enter the sock and that the purpose of these isn't to keep feet dry, but to keep them warm. What?!?! So they are designed to let freezing water completely fill the sock but some how they also keeps your feet warm? When I took them off water dumped out as if they were rubber rain boots I filled with water. They told me I needed to send them pictures showing the problem. The problem is your product doesn't keep my feet dry or warm and I'm not sending you pictures of my wet feet to prove that. I would have given this 2 stars since one pair was decent, but being told that a product is supposed to do exactly what it is meant not to do sets this back to 1 star. Thank goodness I can return these and get my money back.

They’re good, but not as durable as I would have liked. Wore these in Huntington Beach, CA to walk along shoreline. Great sand, not coarse, or rough like some places. Sadly, the only lasted 1.5 months before getting a hole in them, rendering them useless. Bought a different brand, which lasted months, but didn’t like the fit as much as these, so just bought another pair. Guess I’ll just treat them as semi disposable. Why the others lasted longer is unknown to me. Honestly, thought material felt similar. No special sole on one vs the other that I could tell. Bottom line, great fit, not durable, comfort over durability.

Los compré porque las aletas me estaban rozando la parte del tobillo con la fricción y ya quedó solucionado. Además están excelentes para caminar en la playa, secan muy rápido y son cómodos.

Good quality. East on & off. Not ment for cement or roads. Was careful to not walk on cement, wore flipflops across the pool area & changed shoes at the sand The plastic no skid dots won't last long if you wear them on rough, hard surfaces. Got the shorter ankle length & have worn them on the beach & kayaking. Worn them twice for snorkeling with flippers, very comfy & they protected my heels. Kept wet sand out when walking at waters edge. Let in just a little dry sand in when walking there. Protected my feet well from blistering hot sand in Mexico. Size small fit my ladies size 6-7 feet well. Buying a pair for hubby & for my daughter.
