I needed a water/stain protector for new canvas shoes I bought. I happened to have a can of Scotchguard automotive upholstery protection in my garage, so I got that. The aerosol can had been sitting in the garage for a couple of years, but I figure I'd try it anyway, as it was barely used. It wouldn't spray.... the gas in it had dissipated completely, so I had to throw a full can away sprayed only once. Since Scotchgard only sells their product in aerosol cans, I went looking for a fabric protector that didn't use such a wasteful and environmentally bad packaging method again. I saw this, the ratings seemed high, and I purchased it for that reason. This was literally double the price of the Scotchgard, but if I'm not throwing most of it away if I can't use it up at once, it is still the better deal. I sprayed it on my canvas shoes, the smell wasn't too bad, and I could wash it right off my hands afterwards. After 24 hours drying time, I dripped water on my shoes, and it beaded and rolled off. HOWEVER, if you keep pouring water on the same spot, it will soak. Now how stain resistant it is remains to be seen, but I'm hopeful that if it does get stained, it will be easy to clean off. If you do clean it off, you will probably need to reapply. For the most part, Scotchgard worked similarly, and I noticed absolutely no stain prevention in my car seats after using it. What it did was make any staining you get wash out more easily and not 'set' into the fabric. I believe this works the same way. I have not gotten anything I treated stained yet, and I'm not going to stain brand new canvas items to test. The star off is because it's not really waterproofing fabric for more than a few seconds. If the stain resistance does not work as I expect (stains don't 'stick' but can wash out), then I will update again with fewer stars. So far so good, I like it.

Bought a new grey couch and used this. We have 4 dogs and I was a bit worried about protection. Easy to use just spray in. Stays a bit moist but dries pretty quick. So far so good and it's been 6 months

It does have a slight mild odor. Very tolerable. It only covered one love seat. Reapply every 45 days!

I love this product for all my clothes shoes and household fabrics. It lives up to it's name and protects with a fine mist, quick drying NON-AEROSOL spay.

As described and pictured. Reasonable shipping with good packaging. Did not interact with seller as everything straightforward and simple. 10/10. Well pleased.

Basic Info: I just applied this today so I can't speak to durability but this is my experience with using it for the first time. the pictures I added are for demonstrating the spray's nozzle pattern thingamajig. If you prefer a finer mist, I'd suggest changing nozzles. This one definitely dripped between sprays. WINNING: 1. I LOVE that there isn't a smell. I have ADHD and get mildly obsessive over scents (for better or worse) so it was great that this was fairly neutral smelling. 2. There's a lot of product in the bottle. I was able to coat both of my son's uniform sweaters fairly well and still have a ton leftover. 3. After it had dried, there wasn't a weird, starchy, crunchy feel. Wasn't sticky either. TAKE THE L: 1. I laid the sweaters on a beach towel and sprayed them in my bedroom on the floor. DON'T MAKE MY MISTAKE. 🥴 At least, if you don't want a weird feeling moist carpet for a few minutes. Oh and the towel is probably going to be less absorbant until it wears off. 2. Yeah, it's a bit more expensive than the famous brand with the plaid but I've only had meh experiences with that one anyhow. Once kiddos been wearing the sweaters awhile, I'll try to remember to update.

Not too astonishing i guess. Done expect something magical to happen after you use it. You ll still get stains

I purchased TriNova Fabric Protector Spray and Stain Guard to help protect my cream-colored bar stools from everyday spills and wear. So far, I’ve only used it on those stools, but I’m happy with how easy the application process was. The spray goes on evenly with a fine mist and dries without leaving behind a strong chemical smell. I was especially relieved that it didn’t darken, stain, or change the color of the fabric at all, since my stools are such a light cream shade. Another thing I appreciated is that the fabric still feels soft after drying. It didn’t leave the material stiff, sticky, or crunchy like some fabric sprays can. After applying it, water beads more on the surface instead of immediately soaking in (see photo), which gives a little extra peace of mind for everyday use around food and drinks. I still wouldn’t consider any fabric completely stain-proof, but this definitely adds a layer of protection and helps make maintenance easier. My only downside is that I do wish the bottle were a bit larger for the price. I was only able to fully protect three bar stools before running low, so larger projects may require more than one bottle. Overall, this worked well for what I needed and I would consider purchasing it again for protecting other fabric furniture around the house.
