Great texture, feel and smell. Excellent sun protection. Highly recommend!

Since it’s winter and the sun still isn’t very strong, I’m not able to test this sunscreen under the most intense conditions, but since I wear sunscreen on my face year-round, I can report on a few things. First, it has a pretty strong coconut scent. I don’t mind the scent which to me smells like summer, but if you’re looking for something to wear year-round that doesn’t smell like summer, this probably isn’t for you. It’s a mineral sunscreen which is the only type I use. Free from many of the harmful ingredients in other sunscreens, Dermatone relies on zinc oxide (2% concentration) to block the sun. Unlike some zinc-based sunscreens, this one is thinner, almost runny, and disappears completely on my skin. No whitish/purplish haze that sticks around for hours. That’s especially nice if you’re using it on your face. Once rubbed in, it doesn’t feel greasy or tacky. SPF 30, and Made in the USA. I’m very happy with this product!

Doesn't feel too heavy and blends in well. For the price, I still like mustella a lot, but this one feels a little less greasy/thing. No smell or anything, so it didn't bother my sensitive skin at all.

I was a long-time ueer of Dermatone's mineral sunscreen lotion. It was discontinued, alas. The new owners have brought it back. It is great sunscreen. I just wished they offered it in the original 1oz size, rather than this 2 oz size. That's a lot of sunscreen for short trips. I'll have to decant it into a smaller tube for travel since a 2 oz bottle takes up too much of my TSA liquids allowance. I also mention that, unlike the original, it does have a scent that reminds me of coconut. This might be off-putting to some.

I'm not completely sure how effective this sunscreen is since we are not yet into the summer months, but since I use a moisturizer with sunscreen on everyday, I gave this a preliminary trial. Not quite sure what other customers were complaining about regarding the smell. Unless I got a different batch, the smell is very faint and did not bother me at all. It smelled neither like coconut nor cotton candy as some people suggested. As with almost any sunscreen lotion, I recommend not overdoing it since it is tough to completely rub it into your skin if you do so. It feels neither greasy nor heavy on my face and if it holds up to the sun as I predict that it will, I most likely will get some good use out of it as we leave this nasty winter weather behind.

Many places require reef-safe sunscreen, so this is a great thing to have. It comes in a travel size that can be packed on a carry-on. My only complaint is the price for the tube size you receive.

I hadn't used sunscreen as often as I should have when I was younger and regret it. The sunscreen nowadays are much less greasy and less sticky, so they're not as uncomfortable on the skin. This Dermatone sunscreen is reef safe and offers strong SPF protection without the greasy or sticky feeling. There is a light whitish cast that disappears after it is gently massaged into the skin.

This sunscreen and I really did not get along well. To begin with, the smell is off-putting to me. There is a noticeable fragrance, but not something that smells nice in my opinion; it almost feels like it was put there arbitrarily. My skin started reacting to this as soon as I applied it and felt tingly and irritated. I have had worse reactions to products before, but this was certainly far from ideal. As I was rubbing it in, my skin felt kind of dry but looked shiny and oily. On top of this, it pilled horribly in spite of it not being layered over any heavy or silicone-based skincare products. I wanted to like this, but was sadly let down.
