IAQWE 15 Inch 100 lb/445N Gas Struts Shocks for Heavy Lid Tool Box, 2 Pcs

Five stars so far as they did exactly what I asked of them, which is support a 16-pound door on an outdoor TV box that's roughly 50 x 32 inches. Time will tell how durable they are, but fresh out of the box they seem well made and good to go. A minor complaint is that the mounting brackets are unpainted, causing me to have to paint them black to match the piece. Aside from practically losing my mind trying to figure out exactly what pressure to buy and where to mount them, (I've never done this before, a web search for "gas spring calculator" helped), installation was straightforward and everything fit as expected. Once installed, everything worked and the door was stable and functional. A moderate push or pull will get it opened and closed, and at 35lbs pressure on a door my size, it stays up in the wind. Overall I'm very happy with them.

if you guys have tool boxes with struts this is the best and easy way simple no clips studs are already on the balls just stick in the hole put the nut on great product dont waste your money on anything else

They recommended I go with a 180 pound lift and gave me a 50% refund since it was longer than 30 days Original review: I had previously installed 120 pound and they were just a little weak. So I bought the 150 pound and they were exactly the same. Brackets weren’t strong enough either, they bend and twisted

Did not like these at all they were extremely difficult to install and not like the snap on ball joints. I don’t recommend them. Also no videos anywhere to be found to help you figure out how to install correctly. It took me at least 4 different tries to figure it out and I still don’t think it’s correct because they ripped through the wood in my bed and ruined my bed frame. Very upset with the product.

Very Strong & Robust Product. Through the first year of use, this product has performed exceptionally well. As a matter of fact I did not need the second strut for my brutally heavy boat engine cover. I would highly recommend buying this item.

These are good shocks but not very adaptable. Check your configuration and the shocks design carefully

Works well for tonneau cover. I tried the 120lbs one first yet it was difficult to close lid. The 80lb seem to be a bit stiff. I think will work . I bought a tonneau cover and was missing hardware.

These are a great product. I made a slight miscalculation of the weight of the lid they are lifting but still really effective and aids lifting what would be impossible otherwise. instructions were really easy to follow, and we were one of the most cost effective options i could find
