This is more like paint than oil.
This product applies like a spray paint, and is best used on a surface that is accessable, like a gear face. It is not designed to enter cracks and crevices like a spray on oil. The graphite film dries hard and very fast and does not come off easily, I tried to remove the overspray with carburator cleaner and it would not come off. I used it to lubricate the steering gear of a riding lawnmower that had open access to the gears and access to the sliding parts. It is not good for lubricating surfaces that need a long time to penetrate, like a ball joint or the interior of a bicycle chain. It dries much to fast to penetrate that type of mechanism. So if you can access the surface you need lubricated, it is perfect. If you need a WD40 type lubricant that will penetrate, this product will not work well. I also used it on the rubber grommets that hold the sway bar on my car, they were squeeking. But I had to unbolt the grommet and spray the inside of the grommet and the sway bar to make it work (it completely stopped the squeeking). Without disassembly the graphite spray did not work, it dried before it could lubricate the grommet. So again, if you can get to the surfaces that will make contact, this product will apply like a paint and do a great job. If you cannot access the surfaces, use a general purpose oil, penetrating oil, or WD40.

Works great so far.
We'll see how long it past, but initial impressions are very good. We have a rack in our oven that has rollers so it can be pulled part way out and pushed back it. The rollers were sticking so it wouldn't move. A couple of small sprays of this and suddenly it works like new. I can slide it in and out with one finger. Since it's good up to 850°F it should work well for a long time.

Great lube but a few drawbacks…
Firstly, electricity flows through graphite, so this is not durable for things like pressure switches (lithium grease is great for lubrication near electronics). Secondly, graphite makes a big mess, so it lasts a long time, but it’s not ideal to use it just anywhere. This is my lubricant of choice on my reel mower blade. Cuts quieter and better and reduces the chances of anything clinging to the blade or bed knife. Graphite is also my lubricant of choice for locks.

Not ideal for mounted locks on doors!
I had a couple of locks (door handle and deadbolt) that were starting to stick pretty bad. Inserting my key was becoming more and more difficult into the deadbolt in particular. The packaging was basic, air bags and that's it. The one thing that concerned me was this item does not have a "straw/tube" and I was concerned about spray coverage. Boy was I right, this stuff went all over my door, my hardwood floors, and the door knob/handle. I was able to remove it with general all-purpose cleaner and paper towels from everywhere but my door itself. It's a dark brown so it's somewhat concealed, but I will be attempting another cleaning method soon. The product worked great, my locks feel brand new and my key slides in and out of both locks with zero effort. I would NOT recommend this for locks that are already mounted onto doors, unless you cover everything with newspaper. For locks on a work bench, this is what you need to lubricate it. Pros: Fixed my problem with sticky locks Cons: No straw, and the head of the spray can does not allow a straw, so product gets EVERYWHERE. UPDATE: Using 91% (the strongest available at the grocery store) Rubbing Alcohol was able to remove the excess graphite from my door. It did begin to strip the paint a bit, so I might suggest a weaker solution.
