Plastic clipboard with a storage compartment. Will hold about 20-30 pages, depending on thickness, and has space inside at the bottom for a pen/pencil. The top surface is smooth and reasonably solid. Nothing fancy, but it works. If you need something really strong, you should probably get a metal storage clipboard, but for light use this is OK. It is also very lightweight and easy to carry. The hinge and latch may not be the most durable, but they work well enough.

I used this in my job as a collection attorney - could bring forms inside, write notes on the pad, and clip additional documents on top of the pad. Durable, steady writing surface with ample useful storage capacity.

Works great for my husband, this clipboard can sure take a beating on the job!

Nice clipboard that functions well. For the price it is a nice clipboard. It is made from a softer light weight plastic. It is not the strongest material so I guess it depends on how you are planning on using it to know if it is durable enough for you. I use it to keep notes for my garden and lawn and it just sits in the shed and for me it works great. It has a lot of room inside to hold all of my notes. I find it versatile to write on and hold all my papers. I would buy again

I thought the plastic would be a lot harder. Had to put two coloring books inside to make it firm. If left empty the plastic bends in a bit. As long as you keep a good amount of papers inside it makes a good clipboard.
