i have a 10g tank and the api co2 booster liquid booster that i add in manually everyday. will this be good for monitoring the co2 lvls in my tank?

No. This is for measuring dissolved CO2 gas in the water. Products like API's CO2 Booster and Seachem's Flourish Excel contain a carbon source for plants, but they do not provide CO2 gas, so this drop checker will not be useful unless you run a CO2 system.

Where in the tank should it be placed? Opposite where the diffuser is?

Yes. Opposite to the diffuser. I have mine still attached to de glass from day one. Good suction cup provided.

No color change after 2 days of co2 injection. i've even bubbled my exhalation into the drop checker. stayed blue. any ideas?

I had an issue with one of these from another company. It ended up being the checker had a crack in it and was leaking tank water into in. But is doesn’t apply to you, maybe you can considered these questions...are you injecting enough Co2? Are you degassing to much Co2 during the photo period with too much surface agitation. When you insert the fluid in the checker make sure it doesn’t get diluted with water. Check your Ph....compare the degassed Ph to the Ph an hour or so after you start injecting. There should be a difference. Depending on your setup and goals, your Ph drop should be .8-1.3

Can i use the fluval indicator liquid for this? i saw a video of someone on youtube doing so.

I really don't know for sure, but my guess would be yes. This glass indicator is just a device to hold the fluid. If I had other fluid I would try it
