This is an amazing amount of sphagnum moss compressed into a flat book-sized parcel. It's shocking how much water it soaks up and how fluffy the moss gets! I bought two, could have gotten away with just one. Very nice product, very happy with it. I am using it for my Russian tortoise, he'll appreciate burrowing into that during the winter, even though he's indoors all winter. Still, a guy needs to bury himself in something soft! Great product, really good price, nicely packaged. Very happy with it!

Its very small. Just know its a flat compressed package the size & thickness of a small note pad. But I knew this. Its the amount i needed. Just want to make sure everyone knows its not one of those large fat bricks. But it goes a really long way. I was shocked how much a little piece expands. Decent quality for a decent price.

This is not what I wanted. I am returning it. Product looks ok. I was looking for loose fluffy moss. This is a solid cake and has to be worked with.

i kept throwing it away because it would get to wet and be a gross color but i didt know you could just get the water out and it looks the same

I think everyone in the plant community is feeling a bit to the wallet when it comes to buying Spaghnum Moss, prices have doubled over the last year. I decided to give a few other brands a try due to cost. This was one of the brands I chose, I use this Moss for propagating and for D Shape Moss Poles I make myself. This Moss is absolute trash. I used it, because I'm already broke and I wasn't letting the 2.2lbs I bought go to waste. I do not know yet how the moss is going to do over the week with holding moisture, I'll come back with an update, but I don't have much faith. This Moss is just low quality, not fluffy and no full long fibers. This feels like what a good company swept up from their manufacturing floor when they compress it. I spent so much time picking sticks and leaves! actual leaves, from multiple other plants within the moss, and this was the smallest pile in the pic out of 6 piles of debris that I cleaned out of the one of two compressed bricks I purchased. This truly is a case of you get what you pay for, but the good stuff is double the price for the same amount because of capitalism 😔. These bricks are super compressed, way more than other brands I've used which I was actually excited about, I got the large dried bales usually and they take up so much room. I compared the amounts with the previous brand I've purchased for years, and according to the description and the graphics the amounts are supposed to be equal. This is absolutely not the case, but I truly believe this is due to the low quality and the fibers being of such bad quality. When hydrated, my previous bale filled four 4ft Moss poles, and of this brand, the one compressed brick didn't even fill one 4 ft Moss pole completely. So at this rate, it's more economical to buy the better quality brands and pay more, in this case it's just worth it. I hope the pic helps, and I wish I would have thought to take a pic of the fibers, and compare, I wish more buyers would post pics of the moss once hydrated, it would have stopped me from buying. The better brands, may have a little stick here and there, but not any other unwanted debris. Buy with extreme caution.

Bought as a last chance to revive a struggling orchid plant. The orchid is now growing new roots and leaves. Slow process but had i not bought this moss I think the orchid would be dead. A tiny bit expands a lot so be careful not to use too much.
