These arrived quickly. I'm size 5, 38 - they are absolutely the right size for me, not too small as another reviewer has stated. They look sturdy, extremely well-made, the leather is lovely and smart plus they are a very good price. Others have said they need breaking in - they definitely do. However, I tried what someone else said: Stuffing the boots with lightly dampened newspaper overnight renders the leather pliable. Next morning, remove paper. Then wear boots indoors all day as you go about your business. Wear with thick or think socks, depending on the fit required. The boots then dry out overnight and, Voilà: You have a pair of bespoke fitting boots. They feel much better already! Recommended.

I just needed a pair of shoes which would withstand rough city streets and consistent foul weather. These have done the trick, and continue to look sharp with no special care. They are not easy to break in and require wearing for several weeks before they can be worn with comfort. I recommend roughing the sole on the first wearing, by scuffing on asphalt or rough concrete to avoid slipping, as the sole is a bit slick. Overall a great pair of boots and fantastic value for the price.
