The original dive headlamp is back, brighter than ever! Decades ago, PTec introduced a dive-able headlamp. Next, they shifted focus to brighter handheld lights. Eventually the chatter joined into one request too loud to ignore: "Bring back the Scuba headlamp!" Princeton Tec began with their dive-proven platform, adding a 100 lumen LED module and custom optic that delivers the focused beam that divers need. Roam can be used as a standard headlamp, and Princeton's custom adapter allows mounting on many masks or any GoPro-style mount. Roam promises reliable, hands-free light, now brighter and more efficient than ever. The Roam 100 lumens headlamp use 1 Maxbright LED that provides a narrow piercing light beam that has a visible light distance of 242.8' (74 meters) on land. The light is powered by 2 AA alkaline batteries (included) with a burn time of 18 hours. The light has a depth rating of 110' (33 meters) and an IPX rating of IPX8. The light comes equipped an adjustable head strap system. The light weighs 5.8 oz. (164 g) with batteries.

Worked for 15 minutes
The O ring inside of the snap on battery compartment seems very small and ineffective. Within the first 15 minutes of using it the ocean it fizzled out. Apparently the compartment became loose and was flooded with ocean water. Also if you spin the light to turn it off to far it will actually come off and flood the headlamp. The distance Of the beam that is advertised on Amazon and other sites is not quite true. On the box it admits that the beam only goes that distance for the first 30 minutes after that the distance is greatly reduced. Will be returned.

Quality Product
Bought a older model over 20 years ago from the same company and used it for hiking, camping, fishing and even cooking on the grill at night. It just got too old so I bought a new one. Still a quality made product.

These lights are not waterproof. I have several in they all week.
Not very bright under water while dredging, but I love the color of the light. really makes the gold pop out. I also wanted to point out that these lights leak and are not waterproof. I have several and they all week in only a couple feet of water. They still work even though they're full of water, but the battery is in the internal components start to rust and corrode and eventually they stop working properly.

Great light!
It is an amazing diving light, and having it mounted on top of your mask makes an enormous difference.

Functional, durable.
Good elastic band, bright light. Allows for hand free night-hiking with directional illumination, facing in the direction you want lit up.

Good light
Fits good and stays in place with a good and googles, not so much with a full face mask.
