Greetings from Korea. Thanks for your inquiry. Korean ginseng quality criterion is based on the specific total quantity of only three ginsenosides Rg1, Rb1 and Rg3. The most famous Korean ginseng brand's extract has 4.5mg/g of three ginsenosides' sum. This pocheon ginseng powder has 8mg/g of them. The reason of measuring only three ginsenosides is because they are most important ginsenosides among all 37 kinds of ginsenoside. Principally, Higher three ginsenoside value is, more the rest 34 kinds of ginsenosides the ginseng product has. KOREAN GINSENG CONTAINS ALL KINDS OF 37 GINSENOSIDES. And as for % value, we cannot say how much % ginsenosides Korean ginseng product has. We don't know the western standards for ginseng quality. We don't know how they measure ginsenosides percentage. Before 1980, Korean ginseng quality criterion is just total SAPONIN contents. That was as like 70mg/g or 140mg/g. Roughly, 70mg/g saponin content is corresponding to 4mg/g of Rg1+Rb1+Rg3. Hello, 1 spoon of powder contains 1.4g carbohydrate, not sugar. And the rest contains the ginsenoside and other minerals.
The most important three ginsenoside is Rg1,Rb1 and Rg3. Korean government control and measure only those three ginsenosides which is contained in 1g of all ginseng product. This product contains more than Rg1+Rb1+Rg3=8mg per 1gram. Thanks for your question.
