BACON KEEPER

I have always hated the normal bacon packaging, it is just a germ spreading headache. Even when we get the bacon back in the original package, we have to then put it in a large Ziploc to keep it from getting slimy pork germs all over everything else in the fridge.I do think the Bacon Keeper could seal a little better, but so far I like it. I was able to pull it out of the fridge, open and pull a few strips of bacon out with one hand, close it up and put it back in the fridge with the other dry hand with ease. Sure as heck can't do that with regular bacon packaging!We'll see in due time if it is able to keep the bacon fresh, since the sealing is my only concern at the moment.

This bacon keeper is sure a step up from trying to keep bacon in the store packaging. It seems to keep the bacon fresh for longer and the bacon isn't sitting in all the "juice" that seems to collect in the bag it comes in.It could be a bit sturdier, but it works just fine the way it is. I would NEVER think to put this in the dishwasher, even on the top rack. Because it is pretty thin plastic, I just hand wash it in very hot water. Works for me, I don't have to do it that often.

Cheap plastic, did not close well. It's also not very flat, much taller than it needs to be to hold 16 oz of bacon. The one I received was warped on the end. Returned it immediately.

We were hoping that the container would close and seal.

The first one I ordered didn't seal as I thought it should have so called the company and they sent a replacement at no cost and didn't require I return the other. Excellent customer service. We use this for multiple purposes. Yes, it keeps bacon but what I like it the best for is defrosting chicken breasts and fish - it's the perfect size for 2-3 breasts or filets. Also, took the idea from another review to store chunk parmesan cheese along with grater. Works wonderful but still wish the seal was tighter.

An ok product, but not really worth the money. It's made of cheap plastic and the lid has difficulty staying closed. Would not buy again.

I was tired of using clear plastic bags, so i got this bacon keeper. its a bit on the flimsy side, but works well. Its holding upso far. I see some complaints about it not keeping shut. i haven't had this problem yet, but i can see how it could happen easily. It could be a bit sturdier, but with good care, it should do what you want it to.
