Bought it for my son for his birthday and he loves it

Not used it yet but it Looks a really nice rod and reel for the money but disappointed with the way it is delivered. The rod does not come in a rod bag and the reel is attached to the rod, there was nothing to separate the two rod sections in the box so they were hitting each other. A little bit of foam or bubble wrap would be ideal to stop any potential damage to the rod or eyes

Good setup worth the money. Strong enough to land bigger fish but delicate small perch on lighter gear.

New rod and reel, was very excited however bitterly disspointed. 13lb braid £17.00 added 2 new lures at 7.00 each waisted. All sent for the drop-drag for casting 11.5g lure, gave a flick 20 feet the line snagged on either the rod or reel. Tried again and it snapped the braided line so lure lost. Tried again thinking it was me. Same again.. shocking. Google this and you will see it's very much a problem with these rods and reel from abu. Thanks for waisting my money and time

My son really loves this combo. We used it yesterday and it performs so well, was quite impressed.

I haven’t caught anything off this baitcaster yet but the action on it is so good and smooth that I have to give it a 5 star rating just for that. It’s a lot easier to use than I thought, couple of birds nests to start with but quickly resolved the issue and it’s casting beautifully now!

Rod seems okay even the box is all busted up and opened

I have never used baitcaster, and am still very new to to lure fishing. This cmbo is beautifully ballanced, and feels well made. I filled the spool with 30lb braid, one of the places I intend to use it, have that as a rule. I watched a couple of youtube videos to gain some knowledge of loading the line, casting, and setting up, highly recommended for a newby. I was using a 5 gram jighead with a soft lures, cast easily, and as long as you're careful, and set the brakes sensibly, backlashes were not an issue. A first timer easily reaching 25 yards with fair accuracy including roll casting. I was only out for a short while to get to grips with casting, and although I lost the only fish I had take my lure, totally my fault, I am confident this set up will be more than capable of doing everything I want it to, and it will be more than able to handle anything I am likely to hook into.

Great quality for the price unfortunately, the first one broke, so they sent a second one. It arrived in great condition, but it was late, Amazon needs to package its products better.
