Useful for all business professionals - including entrepreneurs, and small business owners
I am an MBA from Cornell university. However since I had graduated more than 14 years ago, I had forgotten many of the concepts for Valuations that I had learned during the MBA. Dr. Kapil's book not only refreshed those concepts, but also taught me many new concepts about finance strategy and planning. I found the excel models that I had downloaded from Wiley India's website especially useful. Also the 'Business Insights,' 'Business snapshots,' and 'Concepts in Practice' sections in every chapter helped in solidifying the concepts, and shows the author's commitment to teaching. As a small business owner, I struggle with many of the topics discussed in this book, including 'Valuation Premises for start-ups' and 'Ownership stake for start-up investor calculation' and this book really proved invaulable for my needs.

Excellent Book
I Found the Book extremely helpful and comprehensive. It explains the concepts lucidly with detailed examples. A great resource for any one trying to understand the concepts - from Basic to Advanced - it covers almost everything.Another, wonderful Book by the same author - "Mergers and Acquisitions: Strategy, Valuation, Leveraged Buyouts and Financing".Would recommend both the Books to everyone interested in building a solid foundation and getting a good grasp of the domains. It will also help anyone interested in Finance.

A so so book. It is
It is very overrated book and price is on the high side. There are much better books on valuation such as Ashwath Damodaran , Tim Coller ,et al of McKenzie, and others . The book lacks depth and coverage .

Very comprehensive, well explained
Highly recommended. The book thoroughly explains valuation models with excel illustrations. It provides a clear understanding of valuation concepts. The real business cases makes the understanding of investment decisions more useful and pragmatic.
