Oileus X-Large 4-Person UV Beach Tent with 6 Sand Pockets, Pink

First of all - well made and sturdy IF you open it correctly. Dont rush to pop it open. If the legs are not opening into place it’s because the fabric is way. Just slide it up or down so the leg and unfold and open. Some reviews say it’s not sturdy in the wind or it “broke” when they tried to open it. In my experience it because they were “man handling” it. Take your time. That being said my experience is that it’s well made. It has these bean bag shaped pockets around the bottom perimeter. That’s for you to fill it up with sand to make it secure and prevent it from blowing away. I believe there is 5 or 6 of these on top of the metal stakes. When putting in the stakes in the sand- I put 2 at each point and angle them opposite each other creating an “x”. So between the sand bags and the metal stakes it was VERY sturdy in the wind. We loved the roll up windows and the inside pockets. Money well spent! I’d definitely buy another one. So much easier than the 4 pole gazebo we use to bring . This is so light and easy up and down. Seriously 5 -7 min set up and that’s filling up the sand bags, putting in the stakes and setting up our stuff for the beach day. The fabric does feel a bit thin but I have had no issues and we have already used it 3 separate days at the beach. we had windy hot days and just plain hot days at the ocean. It was easy to carry like 3-4lbs and it has its own carrying case. I was not sure when I was purchasing but I’m glad I did! I looked at several other options and they had complicated pole assembly. This literally is a pull string and it “pops “ open. So if you want an easy tent for the beach- this is for you.

Mad I waited so long to commit to a beach tent. This thing is amazing. You definitely have to position it right with the sun so you can find the perfect shade. But it makes the beach a game changer, you can spend the whole day and move in and out of the sun. I love how easy it was to put together. And even Wilmer the sun moves it’s very easy to just quickly lift it up to reposition if you want.

I bought this when my son was a few months old for the beach. I really like how much shade it provides and privacy, especially when my son was nursing and on hot days. Fast forward to 1 year later, i took my son solo to the beach. Yes, i hauled a ridiculous cart across sand while carrying my over 20lb 16 month old. I set this tent up within 2 minutes. Pull some strings, tie it, fold out the legs, and fill sand bags. Simple as that. I will say getting it into the bag isn’t as simple. I keep a small handheld broom to help sweep out the sand from inside the tent. It works well with 2 beach chairs and 1 baby chair, a cooler and a bucket of beach toys. I think if we extend our family we’d probably get a larger one, but for 2 adults and a toddler it works great! Oh, the front “entryway” folds up and encloses the tent.

Just got this today. I set it up in the backyard. I found the instructions on the inside of the carry bag AFTER I had it up. Very intuitive and quick setup. It's roomy inside, I'd say 3 adults, or two adults and a couple kids. The fabric is on par with most tents and the poles are sturdy. There are two inside mesh pockets and a hanging hook in the center. The two side windows are mesh with flaps that secure inside. This isn't a good shelter for rain heavier than a drizzle. The extra flooring in front folds up to create privacy. The tent stake loops on the front flooring double as loops to go over the top front poles for added security. There are also 2" strips of hook & loop along the seams in the front. They don't feel strong, so I'm happy to be able to put the loops over the poles. Putting it away was a bit harder than setting up. The fabric is light weight and doesn't like being rolled back into the storage state. I managed both setup and teardown alone. Setup 3 minutes, teardown 7 minutes. I must say, this thing is LIGHT! I've carried camp chairs that are heavier than this. I'm taking it to the beach next month and will update how it handles wind and sand. **UPDATE** I've had this to the beach on two trips, to a large community picnic, and three camping trips. It has held up remarkably well considering it has been a play area for toddlers, a dog shelter, a changing room, a nice place to nap, a generator shelter, and a wood shed. I keep this in the back of my truck, and it has also been a nice bit of shade when hanging out with friends. Love this super convenient tent. UPDATE Two years, lots of camping trips, stays at the beach, and outdoor events. This has held up very well. Still in great shape.

We normally rent an umbrella when at the beach because despite my best efforts I can never get my own deep enough into the sand to stay steady. :( I saw this tent for a fraction of the cost of a rental over week- the duration of our beach vacation. And took a chance. :) I am glad I did. I ordered it in advance of our trip. And thanks to the amazing reviewer with detailed set up and dismantling instructions including photos - we didn’t even bother with the instructions. We set it up in the living room. My almost eleven year old son enjoyed “camping” in it. Very, very easy to set up and take down. It is very compact and fits into our SUV comfortably with our all our luggage. Carrying it to the beach was very easy for me. Setting it up was even easier! The sand bags are excellent and make it super easy to weigh it down. The tent provides shade and depending on how you angle it - you can enjoy it all day long at the beach. 4 persons however is a stretch. It comfortably accommodated two people at a time and maybe a child - playing cards say. But anything more than that will be a tight fit. There is a lot of detail in this product, the design of the sandbags, the easy set up and dismantling, the little windows, the ease of packing it up, sand dusts off easily and it is water proof. We bought it on sale in Amazon and it was definitely worth the purchase. :) Another reviewer had a good tip- check the beach rules to make sure that tents are allowed. We used our in Ocean City, MD and there were no problems. With the money you will save with this tent, you can still generously tip the college kids peddling beach rentals of chairs and umbrellas. :)

I don’t normally write reviews for Amazon products but felt compelled for this one. This tent is perfect for what we needed. It is incredibly easy to set up. One person one hand without reading the directions. Break down took all of a minute and was super easy as well. Extremely happy with this purchase. Provides a nice shaded spot for our dog when we go to the beach and will be used for my niece when she comes to visit. Haven’t used the stakes because we haven’t needed to.

Great shade option, especially for the price,1st type we've ever purchased for lots of day use trips. Wonderful, compact design. Our only concern is with the design of the extended poles... be careful while collapsing so that they don't bend the wrong way. We tested out the tent inside or kitchen to confirm that it works properly (photos included). It also worked perfectly as a sun and wind barrier in the Sierra Mountains. It is spacious enough for 2 adults or a few children to lay down in, including some supplies. I appreciate the widows and window shade diversity to roll up completely or partially. Another nice feature is the velcro (around the opening) to attach the extended floor up to completely shade the entire tent (see pictures). There is also a little hook to hang a light or light own from the center- ceiling of the tent. I wish the tent was a bit taller so a standard camping chair could be used inside, I found a work around by using rocks to elevate the side poles a few inches but I'm not very tall. Option, use a shorter chair. They entire tent collapses nicely. Overall, a wonderful purchase.

It's a handy tent to have, but it doesn't not fit 4 adults unless you want to cram side by side with your legs sticking out. I'm a little concerned about the strength of the seams and how durable the stitching might be, as well as the poles probably being cheaper quality. It does put together easily. The material is thin, so I also worry about it ripping easily. I do like the window options. I didn't realize it was made in Chine before I bought it, so I guess you get what you pay for, which I'm glad I found it on sale for 50.00, which I would not have been happy if I paid nearly 100.00 which it typically lists at. It's nice that it has tent stakes and sand bags. Overall kind of a cheaply made product.

The tent was so easy to set up and take down is was genius. Just make sure all legs are fully folded out to set up and the hex part sits into the slot at the top. When taking down, 2 legs have 2 folds and 2 legs have one fold. Beyond that there is nothing to go wrong. Good size. Sand bags worked very well. Windows for breeze worked well. Would buy another if i needed one.
