I’ll start by saying I really like this scale. I was originally looking for a scale that had a wall plug, because for me the scale would either be used a lot or not very often depending on the situation, so battery-only scales weren’t the best choice. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find a plug-in scale that I liked, though I’m still looking for one since a digital scale would also come in handy. I finally saw this one, and it seemed perfect since it doesn’t require batteries or a plug. I recently switched from paleo to calorie counting because the prices these days are out of control for a meat-based diet, and this scale fit perfectly for that. It’s also really nice to look at. I like the fact that you can use different containers for different things. The scale allows you to zero it out for whatever you decide to use, so you can keep the original bowl nice and clean. The face of the scale is also nice and big, which makes it easy to read as long as it’s in a well-lit area. This scale is perfect for my needs, and I recommend it, especially for anyone who may or may not need to use a scale often. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve tried to use an electronic device I don’t use very often, only to find that the battery is dead and leaking, and that it has corroded inside the device.

This is a great product, easy to use, and accurate. For anyone who bakes, you will love this scale.

Great food scale! My mom has CKD, so we have to weigh her food for her. The digital scales can be inaccurate at times, so we wanted a mechanical scale. Love it. It’s bigger than I thought, but we do love the industrial look of it. It’s easy for her to read, easy to use and clean. Worth the price and no problems yet.

It seems to be of good quality. Since I have been freezing and then storing my grains in air tight containers, we needed something to measure the quantities. I'm glad I purchased it.

Beautiful and substantial, this is not a small scale. I love that it is manual and it seems sturdy and sensitive to the correct weight. My best friend and I both got one to measure flour for baking sourdough. It’s easy to use and adjust the tare if needed. I would not consider this portable because it’s more like a counter item that stays or could be stored. Easy to clean because you can put the measuring tray/bowl in the dishwasher or just rinse out and leave to dry.

Bigger than I thought it would be, space is at a premium in this kitchen. It seems accurate, I compared it with my (older) Slater Digital scale. Close enough for household use. It's larger than 5-pound capacity is why I bought it. No more breaking food & harvest lots into small packages to store. And no more batteries to change!! My only gripe is the lack of any care and feeding instructions, nothing on how to calibrate or clean it.

My husband sells his berries by the pound and this scale is right on. Like that the basket is removable for cleaning. Also easy to back the dial to zero for Tare weight when using cardboard little green berry containers.

On my kitchen counter, no batteries required- yeah! Easy to clean. Perfect.
