Easy on the stomach and taste good
Taste good Pretty energising and don’t disturb the stomach (even after taking 5) The boost doesn’t last as long as I’d like but that’s OK

A Runner's Must-Have!
As a runner, I'm always on the lookout for effective and easy-to-digest fuel, and this gel delivers. I've used it on numerous runs, both long and short, and it provides a consistent, clean energy boost without any stomach discomfort. What's even better for me is that it's caffeine-free. I often run later in the day, and being able to fuel without worrying about it affecting my sleep is a huge advantage. If you're a runner or any athlete, looking for a delicious, effective, and caffeine-free energy gel, I highly recommend giving these a try. You won't be disappointed!

Effective, but no more magical than cheap sweets
These gels do what they claim, but don’t fall into the same trap I did and assume they offer some sort of magical, scientifically enhanced performance boost. Spoiler: they’re basically glorified glucose syrup in a fancy packet. Nutritionally, one gel has the same benefit as 3-4 Jelly Babies - except the Jelly Babies don’t make your bank account cry. 80p per gel vs 9-12p per 3-4 Jelly Babies Yes, there are "electrolytes" listed on these, but it’s essentially a polite pinch of sea salt - about the same amount you’d get if you touched a crisp and licked your finger. Not exactly a replacement for HIGH5 Zero hydration tablets (which I highly recommend). In fairness, gels are handy during long endurance events, especially when chewing becomes a life-or-death negotiation. But for normal training, Jelly Babies are the far superior option. They’re cheaper, tastier, easier to carry, and don’t leave your gym bag covered in sticky regret. In short: great for races, unnecessary for everyday use… unless you really enjoy funding the sports nutrition industry’s holiday homes.

Thirst quencher
Refreshing taste, not too sweet and the right type of carbs for a hard training session.

I wish I tried it earlier
I always use this brand electrolyte tablets and they work really well with my tummy so I thought about trying their gels too. I had many doubts about whether to try gels in general as I have many digestive problems but this product is just amazing! Taste and price are incredible good. I'm definitely sticking to this brand

Decent energy boost, but taste is off-putting
I tried these HIGH5 energy gels during a few long runs and cycling sessions, and while they do provide the quick carbohydrate boost they promise, the flavour really let me down. The gels are advertised as using natural fruit juice and caffeine, which sounded appealing, but in practice, the taste is overly artificial and somewhat unpleasant. It’s hard to enjoy consuming them mid-run, especially when you need to hydrate and fuel efficiently without gagging. In terms of performance, the gels do their job. I felt a noticeable pick-me-up about 15–20 minutes after consumption, which helped me maintain energy during endurance activity. They are easy to open and consume on the go, and the pouch design is convenient for carrying in pockets or running belts. The texture is smooth, so there are no issues with chunks or thick consistency that can be hard to swallow while exercising. However, the unpleasant taste is a consistent drawback. Even with plenty of water, the flavour lingers and makes repeated use during a workout less enjoyable. Additionally, for the price, I expected a slightly better flavour profile, especially given that these are meant to be used repeatedly during long endurance sessions. Overall, these gels are effective for energy and endurance, but the taste significantly impacts the experience. If flavour is important to you, you may want to consider other options, but if you prioritize quick carbohydrate delivery, they do work.

Energy booster!!!
These are great for my son who plays a lot of sport but has a restricted diet. They give him an immediate boost and help raise his energy levels. The taste is a bit sweet and quite artificial but not too bad. Taste best when kept cooler.
