Works like magic - but how?!
As an engineer, one of the things you learn is lubricants. Usually we use things like petroleum based oils or greases. Obviously a grease is good for big things that can't get oiled regularly (you want the lubricant to stay in place) - think hinges and pivots. Oil is good for tiny things, especially if it can get circulated (car engine). Sometimes neither of these things work because it gums up the works, so you use PTFE or silicone instead - both are slippery substances that nearly nothing sticks to.But this bottle says it doesn't have teflon (PTFE), silicone, grease, oil, OR graphite! What the hell is in it, if it's not any of the lubricants? No wonder it's called Houdini.I used this on my apartment door locks, padlocks, car locks and it just works like magic. Even the door knob was kinda 'gritty' to turn because it was new. I shot some of it down in the gap of the knob and it's buttery smooth. I'm a believer now. So far, doesn't seem to be collecting any dirt.It does smell very citrus-y though. It almost smells like something you shouldn't be smelling, like very chemical-y but hey.

Would give this 10 Stars if possible...
I learned about this product after a professional locksmith used it to save my son significant time and cost to repair two door key-locks on his old ranch truck that hadn't worked in years. I had some top-brand padlocks that have been on fence gates around my AZ ranch for 13~15 years - outdoors 24x7x365. Several of these locks haven't been opened in 7~10 years. Just to test Houdini, I took it and a can of silicone spray lube to these locks. A few squirts of Houdini and the locks worked like new (after flushing out an amazing amount of crud). 5 times as much silicone spray into other locks and they were still sticking or even impossible to open. I then squirted the same locks with Houdini and they work great. I've since pro-actively treated all the key locks on my house, garage, workshop, older cars, tool boxes, padlocks, etc. Even locks that worked "fine" before are SO much smoother now. I'm also amazed at the amount of crud that Houdini flushes out of locks... I'm half surprised they worked at all before. This is a MUST HAVE for the DIY handyman/woman.

Good Lock Lube
This is a good, light weight lock lube. My home is located in a humid, salt air environment. The exterior lock finishes are subject to corrosion. In addition to lubricating the tumblers, the finishes are sprayed with a light film. The film begins to break down after about 3 or so months, and the process has to be repeated to fight corrosion. I'm not sure the corrosion protection is any better than a few other lubes I use. However, the best features are that it doesn't stain the paint (no graphite), non-greasy, and any over spray is easy to wipe off.I purchased this in January 2017, and after about 8 months passing, the price jumped about 33%. I've now found an alternative online supplier offering it at a more economical price. I knocked off one star because the value proposition is becoming questionable as the price increases.

Pretty close to magic
My key was sticking in my ignition, or not even going in, and read where you shouldn't use graphite anymore because it still gets junked up, so decided to try this stuff instead. The needle nozzle let's you get right up in the key slot. It's a little thin, but it is safe for electrical locks. Sprayed the key slot and inserted my key over and over again, every other time getting easier than the previous time. It didn't seem to go completely back to normal at first, but then the next day when I started my car, boom, good to go on the first try. Used it on a trailer pad lock that was partially locked up and it did the trick as well.

IT WORKS, BUY IT
We had a sticky exterior door lock. As in, you might spend 20 seconds or more jiggling around with the lock mechanism to get it to lock. Doesn't seem like much but if you've been there, it seems like an eternity each time you're trying to leave. So, the initial solution was to my husband replace the lock but he started talking about trying to lubricate it first but some lubricants are petroleum based and can leave a sticky residue which will attract dirt, graphite is messy, and ......blah, blah, blah (insert Charlie Brown teacher voice). Whatever, this thing seems like it's going to break, lets get it fixed either way. So, he starts looking on YouTube and see's a locksmith promoting this stuff and saying it's absolutely the only thing they use for locks because of that residue stuff he was talking about. So, it arrives FAST. I mean ordered on Wednesday and had it on Saturday kinda fast. Fast for non-Prime item. So, kudos to MyLockStore. I've included pictures of the packaging since I assume this is how this is normally packaged. Anyway, my hubby sprays a couple quick shots into the keyhole, inserts key and turns back and forth, sprays a little bit into the latch and turns the knob back and forth and voila, this thing is good as new. Seriously, it may be too loose. I read some of the negative reviews and they honestly seem silly. No straw gets 2 stars? Seriously. Contact the seller. Someone else said their locks froze. So have ours with other brands. I get it, read the negative reviews but the overwhelming positive reviews are dead on. By the way, the scent isn't horrible either. Not sure if it's minty but it didn't make me want to vomit and it dissipated within a day.Bottom Line. This stuff makes the stuff you spray super slick. IT WORKS!
