Very Good: I used against mice around house base
I had gaps around the base of an old house - where the siding meets the foundation and around some of the basement windows, and under a bump-out window. I cut pieces easily with plain scissors and tucked it into any holes or gaps. It can be cut in pieces just like you imagine of course, but at one point I needed long thinner strips and I cut some strips the long way - which was easy and handy for places I didn’t need as much bulk. It’s springy nature helps it stay in place where you shove it. I found that Caulk or foam is optional - I may add some later but it was not necessary to get this stuff to stay in a hole or crack (it was too cold at that point to meet the temp range needed for foam so that wasn’t an option!). Good for when the weather gets cold and you need to keep mice from wanting to suddenly bust inside and be your roomies. So far so good: no more little creepy scratching sounds from the perimeter walls of the house at night!!UPDATE: several years later, i can report that it has all stayed firmly in place despite being just sort of shoved into place with a stick! Really helped me with the mouse issue, didn’t take too much time to do or cost much, well worth the effort. Good product.

Yep
This stuff works great to wad up and seal places around outside so critters can’t get in. I used around the bottom of the AC unit, the squirrel is not happy that he can’t go under it anymore. Tough nuts, says I

Apprehensive
I'm not sure how confident I am that this is actually "wire" mesh. Seems a little flimsy and looks like I could chew through it LOL. But need it to put around a dishwasher plumbing hole that the persons who installed it left open. I began noticing movement in my peripheral vision and it was tiny rodents. They were climbing up the drain pipe and getting under the cabinets and then chewing through the kick boards. Hoping this will work. I also bought some foam spray to prevent them from entering. So will use both.

Great for rat-proofing
I should have purchased this long ago. I've been using regular steel wool to prevent rats in my home. The steel wool rusts, crumbles and turns to dust. This is SO much better! Yes, it makes a lot of little bits each time you cut it (I use sheet metal shears). But just be sure to cut over the trash bin or an easy place to sweep. I'd hate to track these inside the house or car. The product is easy to form and roll and affix with construction adhesive or even screws. It is great to work with, and now it feels like this will be the last time in all the places I'm putting it today!

Useful for plugging holes
I use this to plug openings to prevent rodents from entering. It was easy to cut and to stuff in holes and under cedar shingles . This was good value

Did not work for squirrels
Need to make sure to cut it in a bag or box. Otherwise the cut off wire will be all over the place. I wrapped my fruits with this product in layers. Squirrel broke the branches and took the fruit with them or removed it layer by layer and ate the fruits.
