I'm between a rating of 4 and 5 for these. Was looking for gift bags to hold a half pound of coffee that I roast as a hobby. These fill the bill, even though they are smaller than the previous half pound bags I'd been using. Just weighed a bag of beans - 9.3 ounces, with room to close the bag with the attached tin ties. They're lined, so coffee oils (or cookie oils) shouldn't leach through the bags. All very good. My hesitation is the very light weight of the paper, much lighter than the bags I'd been using. We'll see how they hold up. Hopefully the liner (which allowed the manufacturer to include the window, a nice touch in a product in this price range) will assist with structural integrity. I'll get some use out of them (first time using them is today), and upgrade my rating to a 5 if they prove sufficiently sturdy.

I ordered these to put some homemade treats in. They were the perfect size and they are sturdy too. The window is cute and lets your treat show through. My daughter used some to put her homemade caramels in. She liked them also.
