Great product and excellent customer support. Ok, to start I am an engineer (and analyze everything in detail) and as a homeowner always looking for top quality at the best value. I have an older 1 1/2 story farmhouse sitting in the woods with over 200 linear feet of gutters (including a detached garage). I have a mix of roofing - metal, asphalt shingles and some copper. After 30 years of living there and cleaning the gutters at least two times a year I decided I am too old to continue to do this safely. So I started getting gutter guard quotes from local installers and those nationally advertised companies. After a half a dozen quotes ranging from $3000 to $6000+ from a wide range of companies most with not very good reviews (Yelp, Angi, and BBB). I decided to look to DIY. I went to the big box stores (Blue and Orange) and there offerings were terrible, flimsy or hokey. Definitely nothing I would expect to last or work for very long. I then started to search online and actually got samples (some I had to pay for including this one) from at least 5 different manufacturers. Of the samples I got Waterlock Micromesh clearly stood out as the best. High quality construction, heavy gauge aluminum and the micromesh stainless design. In my online research and even from the companies that install and quote their proprietary product the micromesh design typically gets the best ratings and reviews. On this product (Waterlock Micromesh), I particularly liked that their aluminum structure underneath was an excellent design in itself and very sturdy and appeared it would work even without the stainless micromesh locked in above it. In addition, their design of this product can be installed on any type of roof (metal, copper or asphalt) and does not require lifting shingles and potentially voiding your roof warranty or worse yet causing roof damage. So I decided to give it a try and ordered enough to do just the first level of my house, easily reachable by ladder - so if I did not like it or it did not work I could easily remove it and replace it. Product shipped quickly and included screws for install which was a nice touch. I also got some of my own screws -1 inch self tapping with rubber gasket - for where I was going to have to be tight to the drip edge or behind it. I also felt they secured into the fascia board better than the quarter inch ones provided. Probably not required but hey I am an engineer and this is my house. I installed this first order in the spring of 2022 and let it work for that full summer and into the heavy leaf season of fall. It worked great, no over running water (which I was concerned about) and while leaves did collect on the gutter guards most would eventually clear themselves after they dried. Also even with leaves sitting on the gutter guards the water did not seem to overrun - or at least I did not notice it - the guards just worked. I do note in their instructions they do say in some areas you may have to sweep the gutter guards clean occasionally. So far the only place I have swept them clean is on a very flat lower porch roof I have where the porch roof itself actually accumulates leaves and debris (even before I had gutter guards) and the gutter guards actually made that a breeze (as I did not have to clean out the gutters after brushing off the roof). So in November of 2022 I placed my second order. To install on the upper parts of my roof. This work would require a lift (I am a DIYer and the lift was actually the best thing I have ever rented - made the job easy and fairly quick.). I did not start this install until March of 2023, and even ordered more product in March from Amazon just to make sure I had enough. My first two purchases were direct from the manufacturer. I received identical products from the manufacturer and from Amazon at the same price - no difference just the shipping was only free from the manufacturer in larger quantities. Also regarding my install, I had poorly installed gutters to deal with as well. Some did not slope properly and all were irregularly placed on the fascia boards in relation to the drip edge. This is an important note - this product can and should be installed behind the drip edge if at all possible. Ideally for this product to install the easiest you will need about 1/2 inch to 1 inch space at the fascia board side to properly get it in. Note many of my gutters were tight to the drip edge with some even behind the drip edge and some were as much as two or more inches below the drip edge on the fascia. With a little work and ingenuity I was able to get these covers installed everywhere. Also of note some of my getters were so poorly installed that there were gaps between the gutter and fascia board of a 1/4 inch or more. Because of the design of these gutter guards they effectively cure and helped this issue (though I did rework the gutters to get them as tight as possible to the fascia as well). Now on to the customer service part. Unfortunately even great products can have quality issues. On my second batch of gutter guards (ordered in November) about half of the footage had a manufacturing defect. This defect was not readily apparent from looking at the product, and only became evident when I was installing the guards. Each edge of the micromesh is held into the aluminum gutter guard frame with a crimp running length wise. Unfortunately this crimp on some of the guards was not fully formed. During install, as I handled the guards and started to screw them in, the screens would start to pop loose (note there is a channel the mesh rides in where the crimp is and even with a partial crimp they are held pretty well and may not have caused an issue) but some of the screens were very loose and easily popped out one side or the other. So here I was half way through install (lift rented) so I decided to keep installing and add some screws into the face of the guards to hold the screens (at least temporarily) or until I could resolve it with the manufacturer. This was a weekend project so I waited until Monday to contact the manufacturer. I got an immediate response from the Manufacturer (Art of Gutter) and they immediately said they would replace the product - no questions asked. Everyone, this is a very strong note - all products no matter how good have manufacturing issues occasionally - the key is how the manufacturer responds to those issues. Art of Gutter responded superbly. They did not ask me what I had done wrong, or how it was my error. And also note I had purchased the product in November and I was installing it 6 months later in March. All they asked was for me to send pictures of the product with the defects (and why it had taken me 6 months to install it - winter in Kentucky on a lift is beyond my DIY desires). They sent out the replacement product within 2 days and even offered to refund me for some unused product I had (I had purchased extras as I was not sure how much waste I would have cutting corners, gutter lengths, etc.). I expected to eat the extra product (as I had over ordered so it was my fault) but they insisted to help make amends for the defective product. That is customer service. So bottom line, For about $1200 in material, $300 lift rental, and about 3-4 man days of install I have the best gutter guards installed properly on my house. This is a quality product (the best gutter guard I have seen and I looked at almost all of them) with excellent customer support. Oh and made in USA which was a definite selling point as well. The gutter guards are well made. The powder coating feels durable and the mesh screen looks like it will last a lifetime. The whole structure itself is rigid and feels stout, especially once installed. My house is over 50 years old and has had roof and gutter work done, as well as an upper addition added throughout its history. The gutters themselves have been matched well, however, they do have a mix of brackets. There were a fair amount that had a slightly arched design and these had to be replaced in order for the gutter guards to sit properly. I also added brackets where two sections of gutter guards meet, if there wasn't already a bracket within a few inches of the joint. I'm sure this isn't entirely necessary, but I did it for my own peace of mind. Some of my downspouts from the upper level terminate into the lower level gutters. This took some creative cutting in order to maintain the built-in drip edge on the lower level gutter guards (both for function and aesthetics), but proved to not be too difficult. Cutting was accomplished by using a cutting wheel on a right angle grinder. Given the age of some of the gutters, there were some dips and dents due to worker's ladders or fallen tree branches. Before installing the gutter guards I washed the gutters and straightened out the damages as well as I could, but that's nearly impossible to fix 100%. I was happy to see that the built-in drip edge on the gutter guards covered nearly all visible imperfections of the gutters, resulting in new-looking gutters. As one reviewer posted, I too used a wide putty knife slipped in under the mesh screen of the receiving end of an installed piece. This allows the mesh screen tail of the next piece being installed to slip under the putty knife with relative ease and not get snagged. There were ample amounts of screws included in the package. I ended up only using 3-4 screws per full-length piece. I occasionally used a longer screw (not supplied in the package) through the back lip of the gutter guard if it needed to be held in place higher or tighter. Installing the gutter guards is definitely doable for a single person, but it is easier with two people (that is, only if you work well together lol) to measure, cut, insert, and hold pieces in place. My dad and I installed around 160' of the gutter guards on my Dutch colonial mansard roof home. My dad installed about 50' of the gutter guards around my 3-season room by himself. Now that the leaves are really coming down (late dropping here in PA in 2025) the gutter guards are really being put to the test. They are holding leaves, especially on the lower levels, but a leaf blower dispatches them quickly. I'm happy with their performance thus far. I am anxious to see how they handle and stand up to snow and ice accumulation this winter.

I recently purchased and installed this leaf gutter protection system, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. The quality is outstanding, and the materials feel very durable and built to last. Installation was straightforward, and it fit perfectly on my existing gutters.

We’ve always had cheap plastic gutter covers due to the amount of trees in the neighborhood, but were tired of my husband risking his life multiple times a year just to clean them off. We got new gutters in October and figured this would be the perfect opportunity to get quality gutter covers. We originally ordered 100 feet, but had to go back later for 25 additional feet. Be sure to add a few extra feet to your measurements due to cutting for corners. We watched countless YouTube videos to find the pros and cons of each brand and style. After all our research, we decided that the Waterlock Micromesh 6” gutter guards from Art of Gutters had the best product at the best price out there. The stainless steel micromesh top was so fine that roof grit couldn’t find its way through and so strong that twigs and branches wouldn’t harm it. Installation seemed easy enough, but there is a bit of a learning curve to it. Start at the back and work your way forward until you get the hang of it. It will take some time, but will be well worth it in the end. As you can see from the pictures, they aren’t even visible from the ground as the edges match the color of our gutters. The wind will blow off the majority of the leaves and a quick aim with a leaf blower will blast off any hangers-on with ease. We couldn’t be happier with these gutter covers. They are well worth the money and look great. Just think of the money you’ll save on deductibles from falling off ladders each year! 😄

I just installed these 6” Waterlock Stainless Steel Mesh and Formed Aluminum Gutter Guards on my house. I replaced previous PVC gutter guards I bought from Lowe’s ~9 years ago that could never handle the volume of water in a heavy down pour. They were able to keep out most of the pine needled I have to deal with but not the loose roof grit that would collect in the bottom of the gutters. Water often flowed over the edge of these gutter guards due to lack of enough drainage slots/holes. These new Waterlock Stainless Steel Mesh gutter guards definitely will keep the grit out. You can see grit sitting on the surface of the mesh in some of my pictures. I have not yet seen how well these will handle a heavy downpour, but I expect not to have any problems. These were relatively easy to install and they stiffen up the gutters significantly. They also came with plenty of screws which is a big plus. I went heavy on the screws in some places and I think I still have 1/2~1/3 of the screws that were provided. These self threading zip screws worked well. My house has ~94’ of gutters with several roof lines and 4 inside corners in the gutters. I bought a 100’ kit that came well packaged in a box that was heavy but manageable. Following the included instructions made doing the inside corners fairly easy. I made the cuts I needed to fit the gutter guards to my roof using a Dremel Moto-Tool and abrasive metal cutoff wheel and a pair of straight aviation snips. Some tips on installing, plan out how you will utilize the gutter guards for the gutters you have by creating a sketch with the measurements of each gutter. The guards come in 5’ sections. If you plan what pieces and what remnant sit where, you will eliminate scrap. You will also avoid having to join together short pieces on a run, or having to buy another increment of 25 pieces of gutter guards. When you measure your gutters for installation, measure the inside of the gutters since the guards drop down into the gutter about 3/4” or so, when installed. Also be careful when mating up lengths of guards on the gutters. Be careful not to damage the overlap screen on the mating guard. Work from left to right as stated in the installation instructions. I found it most easy on a long run of 3 or more lengths of gutter guards, to install the guards without screws and get them lined up. Then install the screws starting at the left end of the gutter and leave out the last 3 screws on the piece on the right end. Then take your inside measurement for the end piece you need to cut. Then install your cut end piece and screw down the end of the mating guard and the cut guard you are installing. Also, do not drop one of these guards from your roof height. Even landing on grass it can distort the aluminum and pop out the mesh from flexing on landing. Overall I find these Waterlock Gutter Guards as a great product and equally as good as the nationally advertised products the installation companies with the Leaf names are selling. You can do it yourself and I was able to do this for about a third of the cost I was quoted. You just have to be willing to get on a ladder and do the work.

Really solid construction which impressed me. My order was filled quickly and the guards arrived undamaged. It has not rained since I installed, so not sure how they function, but looks like it will keep tree needles out, which is what I was looking for. A good value for the money. My only issue has been that I had to cut off some of the back edge to get the guard to properly line up with the front lip of the gutter. After the modification, the guards could be attached properly. Looking forward to the rain so I can see how they work!

These gutter guards are well made in the USA and should keep debris and leaves out of my gutters for a long time. They arrived within a few days with zero damage. They are finished nicely with good color consistency across all sections. The screens are very good and are attached very well. They came with plenty of screws for installation. Installation was a bit of a challenge, but very doable for most DIY'ers. The product is great but you may need to adapt to your configuration. My house has a concrete tile roof and the gutters are fastened to the rafter tails with drip rails coming down over the back of the gutter. I did check with the manufacturer to see how to install the guards given my gutter configuration and was advised to slip the back of the guard under the drip rail if possible. I spent an inordinate amount of time initially trying to work the back of the gutter guards behind the drip rail, especially where the rail runs across the rafter tail, using a variety of tools to pry the drip rail out. I was only partially successful using this method. One thing to note is that the back of the guard is manufactured at a slight backward angle, probably to make the fit tighter across the back against a flat surface. Due to the nature of my gutter configuration I ended up straightening out that angle making it fairly vertical and easier to slip the guard behind the drip rail. I used my workmate to straighten the pieces; holding them in place in the vise part of the workmate and carefully bending the pieces to the angle I needed by hand. After a number of tries to position the guard under the rail at the rafter tails I resorted to trimming the back of the guards to fit around a number of the rafter tails, making installation much easier. In the spaces between the rafter tails it was no problem to slip the back of the guard behind the rail. The second challenge was fastening the back of the guard to the gutter or drip rail. With the guard mounted in place over the gutter it is difficult to drill thru the drip rail and then thru the back of the guard without the guard slipping down or being pushed out of position. I was able to accomplish this in only a few places over my 75' installation. I don't actually think this is a problem, however, as the guards are very stiff and shouldn't sag at all. I did use plenty of screws on the front edge. I had to deal with only one outside corner and cutting the sections at an angle was pretty straightforward. I did use an additional piece of screen to bridge the slight gap in the corner; it was easy to slip into place. I used a Rotozip with a cutting wheel to make the cuts which worked well. I used a lightweight driver/drill to place the screws. The screws are very sharp and the precut holes along the front edge made it pretty simple to install the sections. Overall, and considering the challenges I encountered, If I need to add more guards I would definitely buy more of these. I look forward to eliminating the gutter-cleaning chore.

My backyard has no trees while my neighbor has several 30' trees that just love to drop their seedlings into my yard and gutters. There must be at least 10 thousand whirly gigs EVERYWHERE. It drives me crazy but I can't control their final destination. I read many reviews and compared products for style, ease of installation, performance, durability , customer satisfaction and cost. I sent for a sample too, before deciding to bite the bullet and buy the best. At $5.45 per linear foot I trust that these will be worth the time, money and effort spent. I bought 325' linear feet for my single story house after a "salesman" told me I would need somewhere in the neighborhood of 1100' linear feet. Not sure where or how he learned to measure but he didn't get my business. I bought the house just two years ago and wasn't sure of what kind were installed. To my surprise, they were cheap, vinyl, twisted pieces that weren't even fastened down. Glad I decided to replace. My son-in-law is smart and knowledgeable with his own remodeling business for the past 15 years. Not afraid to tackle anything so I asked him if he would install for me and of course he said "yes". About 3/4 of the way through the project I asked him if he had ever done this before and he said "no, this was the first time". We figured it up and he did the installation in 8 hours over two days. He started by blowing the crud out of the gutters with his blower and then used his power washer to finish moving any remaining gunk. Our gutters are 6" and the guards fit perfect. He continued laying out the 5' sections and securing with the included fasteners with his drill. Only time he had to stop was long enough to use his power miter saw for the corners which came together beautifully. Anything worth doing, is worth doing right and he is very good at what he does. He has done any and all of my home repairs and never ceases to amaze me. His working rate to me was a very reasonable rate of $125.00 an hour and well worth it. Anyway, the Art of Gutter gutters look fantastic, appear to be very well made (not flimsy at all) are heavier than most competitors, made in the USA and in the long run will be worth the money for my piece of mind. They were delivered before my anticipated delivery date but I was short 1 box. I called the company to inform and the very next day they were here. Possible the boxes were separated on accident in the delivery truck? This is one job that's marked off my "to do" list and moving onto the next. By the way, the waste was very minimal from the miter cuts and I have 4 pieces left just in case. At 76, these guards will be here and working fine long after I'm gone. Don't fall for these leaf filter ads on TV. We got an estimate from one of the major companies that started at $18,000. With all their discounts, they got it down to $12,000. I told the salesman he had one shot and give me your best price. He came back with $11,000 and we said "NO". Two weeks later he called and offered to do it for $5400.00 on our 1900 sf home. We spent less than $3,000 on the product and my-son-in law's expertise. Read and follow the instructions.
