LEUCHTTURM1917 - Notebook Hardcover Medium A5-251 Numbered Pages for Writing and Journaling (Lilac, Squared)

These are fantastic journals. Been using them for a little over 10 years now - the pages hold the ink well and do not bleed through despite my using a fountain pen, there's an index in the front, you can get blank or lined pages, the pages are numbered (saves me having to do it myself), good size folder in the back, all very well put together, good quality to cost ratio, they hold up very well. I started getting these after Moleskin sold out and cheapened the quality of their paper & covers while at the same time elevating their prices. The value of these has remained consistent for over a decade now. The one change I always make is to pull off the handy strap meant to keep it closed, then tie it into a loop, so that I can both hold it shut while also strapping my pen to the pages between the covers - which I find much more handy. My only complaint with this most recent one is with Amazon for sending me a color I didn't order - but I don't really care too much, I'm annoyed, but it doesn't impact function or use (just why have a color selection only to send one that wasn't an option in that color selection?).

Ive bought dozens of these journals because they use the best quality paper, with lay flat style. I love all the beautiful colors but lavender is my favorite. Thank you for these!

I've been buying the Leuchtturm1917 hardcover journal - dotted with numbered pages - for several years, every since I started keeping a BuJo. I am totally pleased with the quality and usability of these journals. They hold up beautifully for the entire time they're in use, from the first page to the last. They're not the cheapest I found, but they fulfill my needs and look (and feel) good while they're doing it. I experimented until I found pens that worked well for me and didn't bleed through. On occasion, I'll use a different pen that might show some bleed-through, but that's rare for me and so it doesn't bother me. I don't like bleed-through, so this is an important issue for me. When I get a new pen, I test it for bleed-through on a page I've set aside for that purpose. That works for me. I'm happy with my Leuchtturm1917s.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Omg amazing best journal ever. I have literally 100 journals. This just bonked Midori MD paper out of my top spot. I find that this paper does better with .7 ink like a Pentel energel. Works well with pointed nib/ink for copperplate calligraphy! I really don’t have trouble with bleed through or difficulty using the back of the page that has already been used to the max with highlighters, stickers etc. it’s like this notebook is my soulmate

Absolutely LOVE this journal. I think it's the perfect amount of pages, I love the width, I love that they write the page numbers for you, and I love that the paper is thick enough that there's little bleed through. My ONLY reason for marking it down a star is that, in the photo, a pen is featured. I sort of figured this was the case but the pen is not included. But the journal itself is absolutely perfect for what I need.
