HD materials & ease of installation
My only regret is not ordering this unit four years ago viewing YouTuber Rob Cosman demonstrating it on his woodworking channel! Literally mounts in minutes to ANY chop saw (Mitabo). The four inch dust port makes the vacuum portion work properly, containing 95% of dust.

Collects about 80% of the dust
Overall, this product is extremely well made. I would overall recommend it to anybody. I go through about 50 pounds of dust per year. Should’ve got this 15 years ago. Now, I wish they would just make cars like this now too.

Pricey but effective
Very helpful in controlling dust from the messiest machine in the shop. Edges are stretchy so you can custom fit.Mounting brackets are very simple and not easily bendable. Our saw is a Bosch with the mobile stand and mounting was pretty easy. Other saws may be more challenging.I have several 4” to 2-1/2” adaptors, but none fit snugly to the tent outlet so I just duct-taped together. Works well enough.Pricey for what it is, but MUCH better than nothing.

Fantastic dust shroud! Well-designed and built (in USA).
I had to do some "rigging" to mount the stanchions, but that's just to be expected. All of our miter saws have different base plates, some are on stands, mine's on a folding, rolling cart stand, etc. It didn't take much thought or work to get it attached, properly aligned and "pitched" (like a mini tent) over my saw.I have invested considerable expense and energy creating a fairly unique wood dust collection beam/network. I have put this item off, as a CRITICAL component, far longer than I should have. Particularly since I love woodwork and furniture building, but am very allergic to most tree species, esp. pine, oak, cedar, redwood....you know, everything we make fine dust out of, all the time. Brutal reality that requires a lot more than Shop Vac "dust collection."We all know miter saws make a TON of dust, much of which never even makes it into the built-in vac hose attachment. This is the much better option. And is very well built, in WA State, U.S.A.I know there are $90 knockoffs out there but, if you're like me and want to support well-made domestic products (not just junk that happens to be made here, but quality USA-made products), then do what I did and bite the bullet and buy the one you know you should and will be much happier with, in the end. I am!

MAKE YOUR WORKSHOP GREAT AGAIN !!! - Attached to a Ridgid Saw
I couldn't be more impressed with how well this works. I have this mounted on a Ridgid 10" compound miter saw. Before my workshop full of Man Tools was always polluted with saw dust, every surface high and low would continue their dusty progression. Dust would be tracked upstairs to the woman areas which was putting a negative effect on the sammich production. Not any more. This hood catches 99% of saw dust, there are only minute amounts on the floor now. The majority of sawdust from a miter saw comes out the sides of the blade, so your bag or even a vacuum attachment is only catching a small amount.Overall performance: ExcellentInstallation: Head scratcher. The directions are pointless, there are no examples of this being attached to your particular saw, and my google machine was not hitting on any Ridgid mounts. I scratched my head for a while making sure whatever it was mounted to still allowed for all cuts, even bevel. After what seemed like forever it finally came to me, hopefully the pictures attached to this review will help other Ridgid saw owners.Range of Saw Motion: 95% still workable. There is only one 45° compound bevel cut to the left that can not be made with my current mount setup. So only if I have to fully extend the saw which is only on large moldings. But that same cut can be made on the right side.Overall: 4.9 stars. Directions and their youtube video are trash. It is mounted to a 2.5" dedicated Ridgid shop vac with an iVac Automated Vacuum Switch which is a dream come true. Saw turns on, shop vac turns on 2 seconds later, saw turns off, shop vac turns off 8 seconds later. I used a 4" fernco coupling and Woodstock W1044 4-to-2-1/2-Inch ReducerThe construction seems very strong which relates in the price. If you want a clean workshop or jobsite this is for you.
