Perfect Perilla Seeds for some Korean summer flavor
These perilla leaf seeds have been such a great addition to our raised garden bed. My family eats perilla leaves almost every day in the summer. We use them to wrap rice, meat, and Korean side dishes, and they always make our meals feel complete. The plants grow fast and are super easy to take care of. Just make sure to trim off the bigger leaves regularly so the sunlight can reach the whole plant. The leaves that don’t get enough sun tend to turn pale and aren’t as firm, so it’s better to remove those. Watering is really important too. Always pick the leaves after watering for the freshest taste. If the plant is dry and you really need to pick some, soak the leaves in a bucket of water, and they’ll bounce back a little. The flavor is incredible..spicy, nutty, and just perfect for wrapping up all the good stuff at the table. These seeds made it so easy to grow fresh perilla leaves right at home, and it’s saved us so much money. If you love perilla like we do, these seeds are a must.

Germinated well and grew delicious leaves
We had good luck planting these in patio containers. They germinated well and the leaves were delicious in several Korean dishes we tried them in.

description about germination is not clear. cold treatment is required for germination
they should mention in description about the seed germination. Seeds should be cold treated for a week for germination.Germination rate is low.

This is NOT same as Ao-Shiso (Japanese Shiso).
It says Shiso, but after purchasing it, I learned that this is not the same Shiso as I wanted -- I wanted Japanese shiso (so called OHBA). Korean Shiso and Japanese Shiso look similar, but they are two different plants with completely different flavors and taste. If you're looking for the green leaves served at Sushi restaurants, make sure you buy Japanese shiso seeds. If you are going to use it for Korean BBQ, this Korean shiso should work well. Again, be aware, they are completely different flavors.
