Really works
This really works to keep the heat at the level where you sit. Allows us to use our fire pit at colder temperatures then we previously were able to.

High Quality Stainless Steel Solo Bonfire Heat Deflectorโ-Itโs a game changer!!
I ordered the Solo Stove Bonfire Heat Deflector and am very pleased with it. It fit the Solo Bonfire firepit I previously purchased directly from the Solo company. Itโs easy to attach and itโs heavy duty stainless steel. Itโll last forever if taken care of. It definitely deflects heat to the area surrounding the fire pit and will keep you and your guests warm and toasty on cold nights outside. I never really gave much thought about how the heat mostly rises straight up from a fire pit until a friend mentioned what a game changer this deflector was for them. Once you try this deflector, youโll wonder how you managed without it and youโll probably enjoy using your firepit more frequently.

Awesome !!!
I did a lot of thinking about this before buying it. After all it is really expensive. But after reading many reviews, and applying some basic physics, I decided to go for it. I am really glad I did. It absolutely does capture and redirect the heat noticeably. Of course there are a few caveats. First, if there is a significant wind it is less effective. But my first use was on a 45 degree night with a slight breeze, maybe 3-4 mph. Sitting my usual distance away about 3 feet the difference in radiated heat on me was very substantial and I didnโt have the usual hot and cold zones. I sat at various clock positions around and had the same experience on all positions. If I had to rate the heating of the stove with and without Iโd give it a 5 without and a solid 8 with. As you can see from other reviews, this is a must have with the really cold nights. I definitely would buy again!

Yukon Heat Deflector
I had an excellent experience with Solo Stove regarding the Yukon Heat Deflector. When I encountered an issue, their support team was incredibly helpful and quickly sent out the correct heat deflector at no charge. Once I received it, I was amazed at how well it worked! I'm very happy with my purchase and highly recommend the Yukon Heat Deflector to anyone looking to enhance their Solo Stove setup. Thank you, Solo Stove!

Does a great job as disbursing the heat, relatively minor issue with replacing hot deflector
As with any of the Solo products I've purchased, it's a quality item that's well engineered, effective and expensive. Since it works as advertised and I made the decision to buy it, then it seems that I see the value, but it still seems expensive for a metal disk. I believe once I've had this longer I'll discover a better method for this, but at this point it's a little dangerous. The issue I have is with how the deflector is "installed" when you are using it. When it's cold, it's easy enough to put it on the ledge of the firepit. When you want to add wood or pellets, it's a different story. My opinion is that the smartest way to add wood is to remove the deflector and add the wood or pellets, then replace the deflector. Assuming you use gloves or a pot holder removing it is simple. Replacing it is more of a challenge, particularly if you are using pellets and some of them end up on the ledge. You have to line up the three legs on the ledge with a relatively small margin of error while a fire roars in your face. If you misalign it, or manage to land one of the legs on a couple pellets, the deflector falls off. That's definitely not a good thing. It would be great if there was a heat resistant handle off the side or similar. Most things have drawbacks somewhere, and overall I'm very happy with the performance so I'm very pleased with the purchase.

Warms you up!!!
This is definitely a game changer for camping. We camp a lot during the fall and winter. We love having a campfire. This makes it unbelievably warm! Itโs really hard to believe the difference it makes. Worth the money!

A must have item
Our old fire bowl pit sat low to the ground. We'd feel a lot of heat but smell like smoke at the end of the night. So we bought a Yukon with the heat deflector. The top on our Yukon fire pit stove is much higher than the old fire pit, so we initially didn't really feel the heat down low on our feet or legs while sitting in a chair. Sitting down, the heat tended to be felt above your knees or higher. The heat deflector does exactly what it promises to do, it deflects a lot of heat out and down towards our feet and legs. Now I know why heat deflectors have become all the rage. We couldn't be happier. With the deflector, we get all the heat, but without the smell of smoke. Attaching the legs is not for the weary. Rather than read the instructions, go find a Youtube how to do this. I use a rubber hammer to gently tap the clips into place while it's all on my workbench. I also installed a 3/8" stainless steel eye-bolt, washer and nut through the center hole so I can store it hanging from the rafters in the shed or garage. The deflector gets extremely hot, and the underside gets completely covered with soot. After it cools down, I rinse it off with the hose, wash it down and then dry with a paper towel.

This works wayyyy better than I thougth it would.
This works wayyyy better than I thought it would. Deflects the heat much better than not having it. I have two bonfire model solo stoves. One I take camping and the other sits in the center of a permanent brick fire pit next to our pool. When the wind blows the shield really doesn't help. But if there is no wind you can sit back much further and enjoy the heat. Without it you have to sit way to close tho these to feel the heat. Ive used this deflector in both scenarios and it works well. Way to expensive for what it is but it hasn't warped or changed shape at all after about 10 hot as hell fires.

Pricey but you will understand why!
Pricey but does the job! The heat escapes from the sides which keeps you warm. Without it the heat escapes just upwards so you can definitely feel it more with this. Solo Stove is a pricey product BUT so far so good.
