BODYARMOR Sports Drink, Blackout Berry Electrolyte Drink, 16 Oz (12 Pk)

I very much enjoy this drink. I find it is better tasting than many hydrating/electrolyte drinks. It is not as sweet or salty tasting as many are. Due to pancreatic issues, I must stay well hydrated and plain water is just hard to get down sometimes with the amount I am supposed to drink daily. I supplement my fluid intake with 2 of these/day. I think the coconut water is actually better hydrating than plain water anyway. For those who do not like coconut flavor--do not worry, it does not have any coconut taste. I was always afraid to try anything with coconut water because I truly hate coconut and there is absolutely no coconut flavor in these drinks. I like the berry and orange mango. They also do not contain the bad artificial sweeteners that trigger migraines and GI issues.

Synopsis - Amazing fitness drink with great flavor and great rehydration for your longest training sessions! Been drinking BodyArmor’s for my intra-lift hydration. When I stumbled on the blackout berry I knew I had to try them and it was a good choice! The flavor is absolutely delicious and the amount of liquid for the price, you cannot go wrong at all! I prefer BODYARMOR over Gatorade due to the sugar levels, but these are a great addition to your longest lifts. 5 Blackout Armor Stars out of 5!

always good, its very hydratind and the flavors are very good especially ice cold! but be prepared the seal on cap is very tight which is a good thang but it hard to open sometimes and watch the splash when you do its a full bottle!

Product in general is a 5 star item - I took off 1 star ONLY for this flavor not being up to my expectations for Black Cherry In general I have found Body Armor to be quite an excellent product. To be honest, I just thought at first that it probably wasn’t worth the money and it’s just a fancy or more expensive version of Gatorade or Powerade. I held that frame of mine for quite some time until I recently had an electrolyte imbalance, and after getting some medical intervention, I now need to continue to improve my overall electrolyte consumption. Learning more about many products out there, I have learned that in general, body armor has a bit more of the essential electrolytes and less sugar than Gatorade. I’m not a nutritionist or a doctor or anybody that can say that they have read every kind of Body Armor or every kind of Gatorade or other electrolyte drink out there, but in my looking, that is what I have found. In this particular flavor, the black cherry, I just don’t care for the flavor and I normally really like black cherry. As my initial statement says, the ONLY reason that I gave it anything less than five stars is because of my personal preference about the flavor, not due to the effectiveness of the product itself. I appreciate that electrolytes include sodium and some electrolyte drinks taste saltier than others. This one wasn’t too salty per se, I just didn’t find that it hit that full black cherry flavor. I will drink all of the bottles I purchased, but my personal favorites are orange in lyte & sugar free. *** tip from trainer, pharmacist and a doctor, all at separate times: if you are feeling the effects of over heating or other electrolyte deficiencies, do not drink this or other similar drinks cold. Sip through a straw (not sure if that’s necessary??), slowly and consistently throughout the next several hours or days vs chugging super charged electrolyte supplements all at once. Do not dilute with water or ice if you can help it.

This is hands down my kids’ favorite BODYARMOR flavor. They always ask for the Blackout Berry, and it never lasts long in our house! I love being able to order it on Amazon instead of trying to find this flavor in stores.

Love the taste, not a lot of sugar, hydration during and after workout is key!
