This is a very nice mattress cover and perfectly fits our 10” mattress. When it arrived we washed it and put it on our new mattress. It appears to be waterproof and durable. With 2 people working it was easy to put on though I made a comment that I felt like I was wrestling with a hippopotamus. The Zipper worked well and there is a tab that Velcro closes over the end of the zipper to keep dust mites out. We picked this cover as it is supposed to be good for allergies.I give this a thumbs up and recommend it!

I purchased this to replace Lucid's mattress protector that ripped while trying to put it on the first time. I'm very glad that I did! The construction quality is visibly superior. The zippers have extra material and stitching to prevent ripping at the seam; plus, there's velcro to cover the zippers and prevent them from snagging. Thinking about the Utopia Premium Mattress Encasement? BUY IT. If I could give an extra star, I would! This is truly a premium product at a lower price than I paid for the Lucid protector.

Fits well, but shipping took way too long

I’ve had several of these encasements over the years for my rentals. The price is good and the quality is outstanding. I wouldn’t say the noise is non existent.. but for adding essentially a waterproof cover, nothing will be 100% like just the plain mattress or only a sheet. And it absolutely does not make that crinkling plastic sound. It’s just a textural difference when laying on your bed if that makes sense. They don’t sleep hot, are still comfortable and very durable. Easy to put on and remove with one person..just takes some time and patience compared to having 2 people do it.Finally I wanted to say these run large and baggy which I would take off half a star if it allowed. But I’ll be nice here and still give 5 stars. I prefer these to fit snugly as they do stretch. My suggesting is to size it down. 14 inch mattress purchase the 12 inch depth. 12 inch mattress purchase the 10 inch depth. You might feel hesitant because you’ll think it’s not going to fit. But I have a 14 inch and the 12 inch depth has plenty of room and is still too baggy for my liking.

This item was bought due to an infestation of bed bugs. It is comfortable and uses thick materials to keep the bugs in the cover. You do not feel the cover and it does not impact your sleep. There is no smell and for my children it keeps any nighttime accidents off the mattress. It is great additional support to keep things from getting things onto the mattress and things from getting off the mattress. It's a good product.

THIS MATTRESS PROTECTOR COULD NOT BE BETTER.It was easy to install, light weight, completely zippers and then covers zipper with velcro. It was a great price for the quality and ease of use. No need to spend more, this works well.
