TYR Adult Black Ops 140 EV Goggles - Racing Performance Swim Goggles

I have tried a lot of the top brands lately whilst getting back into serious training and racing and this is the first pair I have found that are not only comfortable, never ever leak, but take ages to fog up and then with a rinse of water take a similar time to fog up again. They don't displace when pushing off a wall hard or when diving (water seems to push a lot of goggles nowadays unless going for eye socket types that aren't comfy), the straps are grippy as well and overall they are possibly the best goggles I have had since Swans back in the late 2000's. TYR is one of the best when it comes to swimming goggles. I bought 2 of these, one for me and one for my wife. We are both very happy with them and can confirm they wont let any water in :) I recommend for sure.

Swimming through the summer in very strong sunlight. These allowed me to sight as I went whatever direction I was swimming in. Did not need to adjust the nose clip, fitted really well.

Good delivery. Tint is very dark for indoor pool use but excellent for open water swimming. Anti fog coating only lasted a couple of months. Comfortable fit.

Simple the best goggles I have ever used! No misting, no leakage and they fit perfectly (and comfortably) around the eye sockets. I wish I has switched to TYR years ago.

Daughter trains 5 nights a week and these are her favourite goggles for training. Clear vision and no leakage.

Great googles with limited fogging. My 13 year old child uses these 4 times a week and we have had no problem since buying them. Great value for money and easily adjustable.

The picture doesn't do these goggles justice, they look really cool! The lens clarity is superb and anti-glare/mirror coating doesn't make it dark underwater. The fit is and comfort is excellent. They even give you adjustable nose pieces to customize the fit. The straps are durable and I can tell they will hold up under prolonged exposure to chlorine. I've been a swimmer for decades and would recommend these. They are my new "go to". Very happy.

Fit, Comfort, and Use I got these for swim workouts and pool time, and they’ve held up really well. The fit is snug without being painful, which matters when you’re doing multiple laps. The adjustable strap makes it pretty easy to dial in so they don’t leak, and the silicone seals feel good on the skin without being pinchy. Clarity and Performance The lenses don’t fog up much, even when I’m swimming back to back. The mirrored finish helps with glare when I’m swimming outdoors or under strong lights. I like that I can see clearly without squinting or worrying about water leaking in. Durability They feel tougher than generic goggles. The materials seem well made, from the seal material to the strap and lens edges. After months of use, no visible cracks or warping and no obvious leaks. They have survived chlorine, splashes, and being tossed in the swim bag with minimal wear. What’s Nice for Me I’m an older runner and swimmer at 43, so I value gear that works without fuss. These goggles are a good mix of performance and comfort. They feel more serious than the basic goggles I used before. Also, when I swim in open water or in the sun, having mirrored lenses makes a difference for keeping glare and brightness manageable. Negatives or Things to Watch For If you swim in very low light or indoors with dim lighting, the mirrored lenses can make things feel a little darker than you would want. They take a little effort to get the seal just right. If the strap is too loose or the nose bridge isn’t aligned perfectly, you will feel water seep in. When they dry, if you do not wipe them off properly the seal edges can stay a bit tacky or hold onto water. Bottom Line These TYR Blackops goggles give you a lot more than cheap pool goggles without giving up comfort. If you swim often and want something that keeps up without leaking or fogging, these are a great step up. They are not amazing for every situation like extreme glare or nighttime swims, but for regular swimming they hit the sweet spot of value and performance.
