I'm white. My hair is slippery as hell I didn't need a bonnet for protective reasons so much as I just really wanted to keep it contained and off my neck while I sleep. My kid kept climbing on me and straight up pinning my head to the pillow while I yelled ouch. This was like a daily occurrence tbh. I try to avoid plastics/polyester so breathable Natural silk was an important factor to me, but silk is slippery and so is my hair so I couldn't ever keep a bonnet on even if I tied it too tight. I tried a few different styles and lucky for my black friends I had to give away every luxurious mulberry silk bonnet I ever tried. I gave up on the search for over a year but I tried again and I found this one. So grateful. The actual band part that touches your skin is not silk, nor is the exterior, so it doesn't slip off and it stays put. It feels like rayon or bamboo so it's still very soft and breathable but holds tf still So much so that I don't even have the little elastic "drawstring" tightened down at all and it's fine. I'm so happy with it I've been googling things like can I wear this in a kitchen instead of a hair net 😅 If you have an enormous volume of hair this may not hold it all but I'd say it's decently generous in the volume, on par with most medium /large bonnets. I bet it might even hold my partner's waist length locs but he doesn't have extensions so his hair is not super thick.

Nice and soft and fits well. Stays in place while sleeping and slips right off in the morning keeping hair smooth, shiny and less tangled and knotted. I gave only 4 stars because the elastic band is so much narrower than the pocket and can twist and move around. Also the little buckle is a bit uncomfortable

My hair is fine, colored and breaks easily. It also started getting wavy/curly for no apparent reason about 4yrs ago (I'm 56). I never thought that one's hair could really sustain a lot of damage whilst sleeping, unless someone was thrashing around uncontrollably and pulling on their hair all night. I have a satin pillow case and would wear my mid length hair in a loose braid and that seemed to be fine, but I was also very intrigued by the silk bonnet.. I didn't think it would really do anything for my hair but boy was I wrong. I brush my hair before putting it into the bonnet, and in the morning, when I take it off, sure my bangs are a mess, but they are easily dealt with. But the REST OF MY HAIR WAS LIKE I NEVER EVEN SLEPT ON IT. I am not joking when i say there is no frizz.. and if you knew me, you would KNOW that I refer to my hair as "Old Lady Haystack Hair" (honestly, it's a disaster). This bonnet is soft, easy to adjust, STAYS ON ALL NIGHT, doesn't have too much material, doesn't cause a headache and is extremely easy to put on. I'm writing this review because I just ordered another one. I plan to use one for when I oil my hair at night (once a week) and the other one for the other six days so I don't have to continuously wash just one. I really wish I would have succumbed to the hype of a silk bonnet YEARS ago. It would have saved me so much strife about my stupid hair! Great product!!!

I love this bonnet and would give it a higher rating if half of the ones I ordered actually looked like the photos. I ordered 4 of these and 2 of them had the elastic strap on the inside vs the outside. I like this bonnet bc the strap is in the outside. Very frustrating to have to return 2 just to get the product I thought I ordered! If not for that I’d give it 5 stars. It stays on all night, is not hot, and has improved my hair dramatically. I have mid length fine hair and I live in a dry climate. My hair is smoother in the morning and requires minimal styling. You will not look cute with it on but it’s worth it!

This bonnet was very comfortable to wear. I have slept in it for two nights now when I got up in the morning my hair was shinier than usual and had no tangles. This bonnet is much longer than what I need. It would be able to accommodate most people. My hair is long but straight. I will probably buy another one in a different color.

I have a big head and BSL greying hair and I can never wear anything tight around my head, it gives me a headache. I walk outside daily and I am always wearing stupid hats because of the sun will bleach and dry my hair further and make it brassy, plus the wind will wreck havoc on my hair. Between the sun and the wind, my hair was becoming a mess. I was apprehensive about ordering this item, but it met and exceeded all my expectations! 1) It is so cute 2), the interior is lined with silk so it does not dry out my hair, and 3) it holds all of my hair without feeling tight and protects my hair from the sun and the wind!!!! I can wear it outside without looking "bonnetted", it just looks like a slouchy cap. I will also be wearing it at night, using 2 flat pins to make sure it doesn't come off during my sleep. I am so very pleased and will be ordering more and various colors for every occasion like sleeping, walking daily and just looking cute! I can see myself wearing it in the winter under a woolen cap/ As I type this, I have had it on for 3 hours and I hardly feel it. Love, love, LOVE IT!

My fine, thick'ish, wavy, mid-back length hair started graying several years ago and controlling the frizz and split ends has been a battle! Roots would get oily while the mids/end would stay dry even though I'd only wash once or twice per week. Various conditioners and treatments helped some but finally decided to try a bonnet. It has been a game changer! Hair feels a lot more nourished, much softer and WAY less frizz/breakage while using minimal additional product. I could literally tell after just the first night of wearing it that the natural oils were actually starting to be distributed through my hair instead of being stripped away on cotton pillow cases. Sometimes I'll wear it during the day at home to keep hair out of my face instead of damaging updos or ponytails. My son "borrowed" one (I'll never see it again lol) and is now wearing it every night...his hair moisture/frizz has improved a lot, as well. Very comfortable and would recommend giving it a try!

Happy with this. The natural silk is cool and comfortable. I have a large head but shorter, thinner hair. I didn't have any problems with the fit.

I wear this to bed to help protect my thinning hair. Does a great job of keeping it in place. I dont have much bulk to my locks so its probably a bit big fo me, but does the job nevertheless.
