I love this product. I have a serious problem with dry mouth due my taking prescription drugs over the years that unfortunately you are not aware that eventually cause you this side effect. It is particularly help for those who have extreme dry mouth when they go to sleep. I put one each side of your gums and they naturally stick to you gum without moving at all. You can sleep with them inside your mouth without feeling nervous or scared that you might end up swallowing it by mistake. They help you produce saliva while you are asleep and help keep your mouth moist to avoid the dry mouth issues you may be having. You do wake up with a little bit of a slight film or moisture in your mouth, but once you rise your teeth and brush your teeth it goes away immediately. You might also produce a lot of saliva and while you are asleep it might drip out of your mouth and get your pillow dirty. Suggestion. put pillow protectors on your pillows and you will be just fine. Buy several and just change the cover on your pillow as they get dirty. Great product for those who really suffer from really bad dry mouth.

I take medications that dry me out, and I can't seems to drink enough to get "wet" until about noon. Xylimelts are a real answer. I wake up with a moist mouth. What a change! I'll drink a lot, use another one mid morn. and then about late afternoon, use another one. Plus Xylitol reduces bacteria count in my mouth. It is such a win for me! Thank you to my dentist that recommended this product. P.S. Now, my husband is using them since he is on a CPAP machine and he likes that he is not drying out so bad.

Best product I have used for nerve damage to my mouth and gums from CSF leak repair. My mouth is above extreme with dry mouth and burning. This product was recommended to me by my Brain surgeon and endoscopic surgeon. I recently saw where Amazon was out of this product. I recommend this product to anyone who has nerve damage or severe dry mouth from medication. Rinses are only temporary and lozenges can cause choking when taken at night. This small mint flavored tablet adheres to the gum and produces saliva and relief and bonds to the gum very well. For me it is the only product that provides some relief from my nerve damage and allows me to sleep with some comfort. This product would also provide relief for anyone who has been damaged from radiation from chemo that affected the mouth or suffer from Gum disease or Gum damage. It is a true life Changer for me after my surgery. I recommended this product, the quality of my life depends on it.

These mints actually worked and stopped my dry mouth at night provided I replaced them when they melted. I found the tablets took approximately 4 hours to totally melt. If I replaced them, then the mints prevented dry mouth for the entire night. This was as opposed to Biotene mouth rinse, gel or spray (or a combination). It there wasn't a lot of time before it would be time to get up when the tablets finished melting, then I used the gel. If a longer time, I inserted two more tablets. For less than $1 a day, I eliminated my dry mouth.

i don't place these on the roof of my mouth, as another reviewer reported, because I have sleep apnea and that makes sufferers like me gag from improper breathing through my mouth at night. I don't want a disc in my throat to complicate things. Also, I tend to lay on my back because of spinal arthritis problems. I place one disc on each of my upper rear gums next to my cheek. I press them, using my forefinger, until the mild adhesive attaches the disc to my gums. The two discs usually last 8 hours and have reduced the incidents where I wake up with dry mouth. It's the only product I've found that has a time-release benefit. All the other dry-mouth remedies are temporary. I don't need anything during the day since I have my mouth shut (for the most part -- smile). I highly recommend this product for anyone with sleep apnea who has gone through all the tests and found that the masks don't work very well. I tried all the masks and found them to be clumsy and suffocating. The technology has not solved the problems of comfort and adaptability yet. The current mask/hose/air-supply-motor setups are like trying to sleep with a cumbersome gas mask on your face.

Yes, that dang CPAP machine was getting the better of me causing terrible dry mouth at night, to the point I could not use it, so it became pointless. Then I discovered these tablets about 2 years ago and boy, what a difference. Sure, two are needed for an entire 7 hours of sleep (sometimes) but I still need to pop in another after about 5 hours (by that time, I usually need a restroom visit). These will keep you from going insane due to waking with dry mouth. I also tried (my dentist gave me several different samples) other products, but the delivery method doesn't work if you have to grab a tub in the night a squeeze a "tsp" in your mouth... impossible when you are sleepy. Then there was another which is sort of hard candy and I tried to use those like I use Xylimelts but failed as they melt unevenly in the mouth, creating sharp edges that will bother your gum . Go with these: definitely, positively, 100% recommended. - AND you can still order from the factory a smaller sample but trust me: go with these big packages because you will want to sleep well. Oh great, they finally made the packaging in only one larger box. Thanks ! *** Another update: I think these are finally causing some rash in my inner cheeks... I swapped to put them on the top gum and after 3 days the rash started to develop on the uppser side too :-(

It's a must try...EXECELLENT. This product is amazing. It made my sick uncles's day much more tolerable - as his liquid intake is limited. It has added 2 hours to his sleep time.

This product worked like magic for the problem being faced for a long time. Dissolves slowly keeping the mouth moist for a long time and this healing the entire area.
