The Grand Hotel Collection King Size Mattress Pad - Thin, Lightweight, and Breathable Mattress Pad - Ideal for Hot Sleepers & Plush Mattresses - Deep Pocket Fits up to 18" - Easy to Wash (78 x 80)

I am a caregiver for my husband and just bought him a full xl bed. I found out it’s hard to find full xl mattress pads, so I saw these on Amazon and ordered it. It washes well, fits the bed well, and is comfortable and soft.

I don't like having an "extra deep" mattress because it's hard to find sheets and mattress covers that are really deep enough to fit and stay on. My experience with many sheets has been they list a certain depth on the container but it can barely stretch to fit and stay on. Same thing with the mattress cover I've had most recently. I really have to stretch the fabric to get it around the bottom edge of the mattress, now the material is finally tearing. I was very leery about this product, especially because of the incredibly low price. I even emailed the seller before ordering it. They got back to me very promptly, saying just to be sure they'd measure it again so we had a couple emails back and forth. I'm pleasantly surprised at the fit and quality. My mattress is about 13 inches deep and this cover fits very easily with room to spare so I can easily believe it would fit a 16 inch deep mattress, the depth stated in the article description. The quality seems fine to me. The top quilted part is just as thick as my previous mattress cover for which I paid more. I expect this will hold up better than my last one because I won't have to continuously stretch it.

I'm pleased with this mattress pad. The top pad is soft and comfortable and it's lightly padded. I didn't buy it for the padding, as my mattress has a pillow top, but I bought it for protection to help keep my expensive mattress clean and free from snags, etc. The padding is just thick enough to be protective, without adding thickness to the mattress. The sides are very stretchy and it easily covers my deep mattress. I've had similar pads in the past that were difficult to pull down all the way, and crept up on the sides. Not this one, it truly goes under all sizes and it stays in place. Some of the reviews seem to indicate varying quality, so it's possible that different sellers may be selling mattress pads from other manufactures. I've bought two of these, several months apart, and selected the same seller, and both were good quality. It's not the highest quality, nor is it the most expensive. But I'm happy with it.

The mattress pad arrived promptly and well packaged. I removed it from the zippered plastic bag (no weird smells or anything, which is always a plus these days) and popped it right into the washing machine, then into the dryer. It washed up very nicely, with no issues, and seems to be well made. It fits perfectly on my full-size bed, and feels nice and cushy. There is plenty of room for my thick mattress, with no pulling at the corners or undue stress and strain. This mattress pad will do the job it's intended to do - keeping our mattress fresh and clean, and it looks like it will be able to take numerous trips through the washer and drying without wearing out too quickly. I am impressed with the quality for the price, so it's a win-win. It's exactly what I wanted and expected and I'm very pleased with this purchase. I highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a quality, basic mattress pad. Well done!

I've had this for over a week and love it. I was concerned that the extra deep pockets and skirting would allow it to shift on top of the mattress but it hasn't moved and seems to stay right in place. The pockets on this item are really deep and stretchy so will probably fit most pillow tops. My king sized bed is a double pillow top and there's still extra fabric. I had to really tuck them in but that's not a huge problem to me. The photo of it on the bed makes it look really puffy but it's not. It's quilted but not thick enough so that it's noticed through the sheets and offers a nice padding between me and the mattress. Another observation is that it doesn't make any crinkly sounds since it's not designed to be waterproof. If you're looking for a nice mid-priced mattress cover I'd recommend this one in a heartbeat.

This mattress pad cover replaces an old one whose stretch was finally worn out after many years of use. I was hoping to find a replacement with a quilted top and deep sides, to accommodate a mattress and thick memory foam topper - - something I had to cover separately with my former covers. This pad came well constructed and fit perfectly. I appreciate the thickness of the quilting - - not too thick, not to thin. This cover is described to be made of a fabric blend of poly / cotton (my former mattress was 100% quilted cotton) but appears tightly woven with a smooth hand that should not pill, which, if it turns out to be true, will be another plus; I've had poly covers in the past that pilled terribly. I was confident enough in this cover to order a second one, which I am just as satisfied with. If you can make do without a fully cotton cover, this is a good one at a good price.

OK, I bought this because I'd ordered the 2-Inch VisCO2 Green Tea Mattress Topper and knew I needed a new mattress pad, but can't get out to the store or be schlepping anything heavier than a half gallon of milk, plus I'm using a walker right now, so decided to search Amazon and find a decently priced mattress pad to go with my new memory foam Topper. Found this one. It fits! The sides fabric is stretchy, not papery. Unfortunately, that material is also somewhat "slippery". My fitted sheets are in a constant state of sliding out of place and I'm not an "active" sleeper and I sleep alone. It's the mattress pad. It is deep enough to very comfortably contain the 2" memory foam topper without squashing it along with my deep pocket mattress. And my sheets fit over everything with no problem. The problem is the bottom sheet is sliding because there's no "stick" or "friction" against the mattress pad sides. Hard to explain in a way. Did have a bit of a smell that wasn't too pleasant the first couple of nights, a bit of febreeze helped that. It's not a bad mattress pad. It's just not a great mattress pad. Needs a different type of stretch material on the sides is all.

This product violated my motto "I can't afford to buy cheap stuff"... because I end up buying it over and over again after it breaks. But, when a previous hundred-dollar purchase from JCPenney literally fell apart after the first washing, after only a couple of months use, and after I read about similar problems with other expensive products, I invoked the alternative motto "What can I lose?"... if it breaks, I can buy four more for the same overall cost. Anyway, it fits, it seems sturdy enough, it works, and so far it's five stars. Will it fall apart in the wash? Time will tell. Update: That was then (January 2012), this is now (May 2013) and this mattress pad cover has survived 3 washings unscathed, not to mention several vacation house renters. This confirms my original 5 star rating, and I can finally say "Yes, buy this product!" In case you're asking if I ever give a bad review, the answer is "apparently not yet"... but I'm just getting started on this Amazon Review Adventure and there are a lot of items in my order history.

We have an rPod 190 travel trailer. We bought this for the bed, which is tricky to make up because it has walls on three-and-a-half sides. We had struggled with a cover for a regular double - hard to fit and really hard to tuck in. With this mattress cover, installation is easy. It tucks under the mattress well and helps to secure our memory-foam topper, which is on top of the stock RV mattress. No problem wrinkles on top. The stretchy sides fit well and keep the padded material centered on top. Quite pleased with this product.

The sewing was starting to come apart a bit. But overall ok. Fit well. Has good fabric on the sides for easy application. It is quite the deal in comparison to mattress shops wanting $129. for a queen short mattress cover. It will work out fine.

This mattress cover is exactly as advertised. It is 80" x 60" and has plenty of room to accommodate the matress topper we bought to supplement our mattress. It is very easy to get on and off. It is well made and finished, attractive and soft to the touch. The price is very reasonable.

I purchase 2 covers for two of our beds. I simply wanted something to cover the mattress' Nothing fancy, not waterproof or anything like that. I washed them immediately and put them on. I am happy to say they washed up nicely and fit perfectly over our very deep pocked mattresses. I was afraid they would be too small or shrink but that was not the case. They were not tight to put on the mattress either which was really nice. I would definitely recommend this product
