I discovered this dome surveillance camera because a cheap brand dome wasn't available....and found this ANPVIZ dome was super, 10 times better. It was twice the cost of the cheapie, but worked far better and even has zoom with focus ability. The color sensitivity came on while the cheapie stayed in IR mode, & with lousy video definition. I believe now that it will be my main camera for my 16 cam system. Solid metal with great night sensitivity. And Amazon gets it to me next day. Real nice. later....I have multiple cams being tested plugged into my surveillance system, and observing color restoration and IR turn-on over days and this camera is stable and real sensitive to IR and color restoration when it shuts down IR, and it was better than all the others by far. Cheap ones are pathetic. I think I'm going to mostly use it for most of the 16 camera locations for sure. Good cam.

Ordered this to replace a dome camera that went out. I'm picky about my cameras they need to have a good clear picture. To be honest I wasn't expecting too much for the price but just wanted to get some thing back up and working. When installed and set up I was happy the day time picture was clear and resolution was good, but was still concerned about night time quality. The camera did not disappoint night time resolution was good and the IR led's illuminated the whole area I was concerned with seeing at night time. So over all I'm am happy with the cameras performance. As a plus this camera works with my DVR's intrusion detection feature. Which allows me to draw a line across the image area on my DVR with directional alerts which will trigger an alarm when some one approaches this line and crosses it but not when leaving. I use it as door bell to alert me when some one is approaching my door a lot of cameras in this price range do not work with it in fact I have some costing more than 2X what this one cost and will not work with that feature on my DVR. Now for negatives if you can really call it that. You do have to set the dip switches on the camera to work with the correct format such as TVI or analog. Not a big deal but when setting up my camera. I use a remote monitor so while up on the ladder I can adjust the zoom and focus so I have to set the camera to analog so monitor can use the video signal and than switch them back for the DVR in TVI mode. Some dome cameras come with an analog port built in to use a remote monitor. Just like most cameras if you change the zoom aspect you will have to refocus the lens which the tool comes with the camera. Over all good camera I've been running it for a couple weeks now and have no complaints with its performance.

The camera has been installed for less than a week, but thus far I'm pleased with the picture quality during the day and at night. The price was reasonable, and the camera feels solid and well constructed. No real reason for a 4 rating, rather than a 5, other than I guess you always wish this or that was just a little bit better.

I purchased this analog camera to suppliment my 20+ cameras around my property because it has some interesting features. First, an easy to adjust focus. Most of my other cameras have a fixed focus that can not be adjusted. This camera has a focus adjustment that is easy to access. Second, this camera has a manual optical zoom. The zoom is very powerful, I expected maybe a 3 to 1 zoom, but this is much much stronger. I first set it up with the zoom adjusted as far as it could go because the intersection is probably 40 feet from the camera. I ended up zoomed in on a patch of grass. I then decided to back it off all the way and turn the screw about a quarter turn, then played with it slightly till I had the result I wanted. Because this is an optical zoom, the quality of the picture does not degrade when you zoom in. I was impressed with this feature as you might be able to tell from my praising of it. :-) The camera is bigger and heavier than I expected. I have other dome cameras that are about half this cameras size and no where near the quality of construction. The camera itself is encased in a metal ball. It is very well made and I expect it will last me many years. Because of the cameras size, weight and adjustments to zoom and focus you need to make, I suggest the install be a two person project. I installed this camera by myself while I was home alone. I really wished I had a second set of hands while mounting it and I did a lot of adjusting, running in the house, looking at the results of my adjustments and then running back out to make more adjustments. Do yourself a favor and get a buddy to help you. It can be installed by one person, but two is better. Picture quality, daytime color and night vision are all excellent. For the price, I don't see you finding a better dome camera!

I am very happy with my purchase. I have a Night Owl 1080 system. When I got the camera I could not believe how much larger it was than my older one. The LED and camera seem much larger and better made. I set the camera to 1080 CVI DVR. The daylight picture has excellent colors, good contrast and focus is great. NIGHT: This is where the camera really blew me away. My older camera has night vision with a muddy or washed out picture in the dark areas. This New camera bites into the darker areas and shows 85% more detail at night. GREAT JOB! I am going to buy four more just so I get a better picture at night. I highly recommend this camera to anyone who is looking for a quality picture in 1080.

Terrible picture quality. Will never try using this brand again.

I got this specifically for the Zoom ability. But the installation is not easy. The zoom and subsequent focus are controlled by two small screws on the camera's face. The focus has a very narrow field of view and is very difficult to set on a specific object in the field of view. If zoomed in to the max an item about 50 feet away can not be done, the image will always be a bit blurry. In addition, the camera has a "ghost" image that the manufacturing company said is inevitable and can not be removed. Speaking of the customer support, their help for solving the ghost image issue and getting help in general was not helpful, including a simple question on the settings for the camera. Overall, this camera lacks in quality and control.

Have an older Zmodo system that cameras were going bad (fuzzy and grainy). Set up as analog mode through the dip switch settings. Replacement was easy and was able to use the old Zmodo wiring to dvr. No issues what so ever. Very clear picture in both day and night mode. Very satisfied with product and will be buying more.
