Ordered Sunday, received Thursday, came with a fiber gasket - did not use that, reused the o-ring from old pump. But, fit just fine. Had a small leak on one pipe fitting, just cranked it down tighter and stopped. No drift noticed. Like another said, has different design, looks like the valves are screwed in and not held with a retaining clip (clip is what failed on old pump, and shot out the valve and shuttle and I couldn’t find either). But, so far, satisfied, will see how it works in the long term.

This product worked out perfectly even though my engine was not listed on the mode sheet. Turns out it did not solve the issue of my motor slowly trimming down on it's own. After replacing this part I noticed that there was water in the RAM and mixed into the reservoir. After bleeding it out and filling it with fluid still the same issues the motor slowly trims down. Well now it's time to rebuild the RAM and replace the seals. Process of elimination says it's just that.

Good price and it works well. I did however have to find two 3/8"x24 set screws to block the unused ports. Also mine had three small aluminum casting chunks clinging to the case which prevented it from going into the motor body smoothly. Check that your O-ring is all the way to the end and not in the groove too.

Got pump 4 days early. Put on today, it was easy install. I removed the 4 lines, removed the bolts holding on and replaced in reverse. Make sure you get shaft into pump head before securing the 4 screws. Worked perfect and motor stays up now. I installed on 1988 Force 1254x8c outboard. Took about an hour to install.

Wish I could rate lower but three bad pumps in a row. First two would go up and not down the last one wouldn't even go up or down. Had to source a used pump just to get the tilt working again. QC is not there

Nothing bad to say about DB Electrical, their service and shipping was great. As for the part, made of cast aluminum, so the threads stripped while installing. Ended up having to order a new one, which again arrived on time. Bottom line, be careful while installing, will strip easily, but it did solve my trim issues and for a lot less than marina prices.
