Worked No Problem
Replaced power steering pulley on '01 Dodge Ram 2500. No problem getting old one off and new one on. Did need a deep well socket and placed the pulley in a vice grip while removing and installing the pulley. Also greased the inside of the new pulley and used a breaker bar. First time using this so took a little time to figure it out and which adaptor to use. Took me less than 45 minutes once I got started.

I had to ask the seller numerus times if this was the correct tool needed for the job they always got back with me in a timely fashion and double reassured me I was ordering the right thing and when it got here was true to the word perfect fit Thank you for all the help in getting that steering pump pulled without causing more damage

Almost teenager proof
I'm currently working on my 83 6.2l K20 Chevy. After removing the power steering pump I discovered a small hole on the back side of the the resovor. I could have brazed the hole closed but being that the pump itself was the original and had been intermittently acting up I decided to replace it instead of rebuilding it. Knowing that a new pump normally does not come with the pully. I went to both of the local automotive store's that loan tools to get a puller. Both stores pullers were trashed and IMHO would have cause me more frustration trying to get it to work than it was worth. So, off to Amazon prime and I order my own puller. In a past chapter of my life I use to put food on the table by wrenching for a living. I have used and abused all the big named tools. I find OTC tools to be high quality and they do stand up to the rigors of a busy automotive garage. Yeah, for the average weekend wrencher they are moderately expensive and you could buy a cheaper tool. But, will the cheaper tool stand up to the abuse that your teenage child or grandchild going to throw at it. Of course they're not going to tell you that they broke your cheap tool, but let you find out the next time you need it. So, back to the store to buy another cheap tool. When you could have spent the extra few bucks now on a good quality tool and avoided the frustration.

For the weekend mechanic.
Good option for someone without the money or space for a floor press. Took only a minute or two to press the pully onto a power steering pump I was installing. More than paid for itself not having to take the car into a shop.

Good tool -Fair Price
Worked very well. Made my power steering pump replacement easy. The tool removed the p/s pump pulley with little effort and just as easy installing pulley on new pump. The individual pieces in thy e kit appear to be well made. Blow molded case fits nicely into tool box. This is the 5th OTC tool I’ve purchased, I’m happy with their stuff. I’m not a pro and don’t have easy access to a tool truck, OTC seems to be on par with tool truck quality.

Pays for itself first time used
If you decided to replace your power steering pump, this tools pays for itself the first time you use it. You get to keep the tools while saving at least a thousand dollars by repairing it yourself. Its for GM vehicles and works perfectly. You get one set to remove the pressed on pulley and another set to press it back on. I thought it would be a hard job but it turns out to be a very easy job. The hard part is removing the pump itself, not the pulley. BTW you should consider reusing the old pulley if its not damaged. Most will not be damages so save yourself a lot of money by reusing it.

This is THE ONE!
I used this kit for a powers steering pulley removal on a 2010 Ford Focus. The pulley was removed in order to replace the pressure line coming out of the pump. It is located right behind the pulley. It is really easy with this tool. There is absolutely NO NEED FOR AIR TOOLS! I managed to pull back the pulley with simple hand ratchets and wrenches. Fyi, the car is 12 years old with original pump and pulley. It simply worked flawlessly! Re-installation of the pulley was even easier. You only need to parts of the tool to accomplish this. I can’t say how this kit compares to other brands like OEM tools, Powerbuilt, Snap-on or others, but i feel like its going to survive many, many pulleys! For approximately 50$, this kit is really all you need to work on your older Ford’s power steering pump pulleys.

Works alright, installed didn't work but could be my application
If you own a GM Product this will work to remove the Power Steering Pulley. I own 2007 Chevy Avalanche 5.3L. It is the newer engine and body style. Trying to find a pulley remover to remove the pulley it difficult in itself. I was having difficulty steering and the pump was making noise so I just knew it was time for a new one. I tried a kit at my local auto parts store and didn't work. I bought another set and that also didn’t work. So I finally found this one and thought it would give it try because the reviews are positive. Shipping was surprisingly quick and arrived at my door three days. I couldn't find many that have tired this on the newer engines rather just the old (2006 and below or other models) so I couldn't get any feedback on what may or may not to do.This goes for most never 2007 - 2013 Silverado, Tahoe, Suburban, Avalanche, Yukon with a 5.3L1. Remove the belt by pulling the tensioner with a 15mm socket and ratchet.2. I attempted to remove the pulley first because if you are unable to remove it with the tool then you just wasted your time removing anything else.Insert the remover into the shaft of the pulley. Using the two half's, put the larger side on tool the tool and the smaller side onto the puller and then side the metal sleeve over it. Tighten the nut until it contacts the back of the half's. *It is helpful with a ratchet and wrench, using two wrenches is difficult* Using a 16mm socket and ratchet at the end of the tool and a 21mm wrench on the tool. Wrench it off twisting it too loosen it until it the pulley comes off (You may hear noises when the pulley comes off, that's normal.)3. After the pulley is off, remove the fluid from the reservoir and remove the 16mm nut using a wrench (Stubby is better because of the tight area) from the pressure line at the back of the reservoir and set aside after remove the clamp from the return line and remove it from the pump. Remove the 3 bolts in the front of the power steering pump using a 15mm socket and ratchet. Remove the 2 15mm nuts and 1 15mm bolt for the bracket at the back of the pump. If you do it by the book, it states to remove the intermediate steering shaft. I am not sure why but that doesn't have to be done. I had lots of room to remove it, maybe on older models but on the newer ones it doesn't have to be done.4. Remove the pump and reverse the install procedure in step 3.5. Installing the pulley, this is where the fun began. I thought this would be the easiest step but apparently not. The installer tool was way too long for my application. I had to cut the end of second threads of using a grinder. After cutting it off, the tool fit in properly. While installing the pulley i had trouble getting the pulley to fully seat on the end of the shaft. Every time i tightened it down the bolt would back out of the shaft and would just keep coming out of the shaft. I absolute tried everything to get that pulley on the shaft. As of now, the pulley sticks out about 1/4 inch because it wouldn't install the pulley any further. I did try again the next day and did manage to get the pulley back on flush with the shaft but it just did the job.6. When you do complete the pulley install. Install the belt back on and fill with fluid and check for leaks turning you’re steering from lock to lock to bleed any air out of the system. Now I can’t say this won’t work for any other models but the installer tool didn’t really work in my application. This doesn't seem to work on newer styles rather than maybe old ones. The installer, all the threads were garbage so I had to rethread it to go back in the shaft. I would saw though that the tool is very good quality and works quite well for removing the pulley as I thought that was going to be the hardest part. I like how the kit also comes with a few other attachments and also a CARRYING case because that is the best when it comes to organizing everything. Everything is located in the case but I would say the installer needs to be “more universal” to adapt to all vehicles and not just old styles of GM. Otherwise I like the product and would recommend it to another serious or DIY because it is a good set.

prompt arrival
I bought this tool to remove pulleys off a variety of GM pumps, haven't had a chance to use it yet as borrowed one before I ordered this one. I have always found OTC to be good quality so I am confident this one will work just fine/
