Tetra ColorPlus Tropical Flakes Fish Food, 7.06 oz

I’ve tried a few different flake foods over the years and this one is by far the favorite in my tank. I have a mix of tetras, guppies, and a couple of platies, and they all swarm the top of the tank the second I open the container. No lie, they know the sound of the lid now. The “color plus” claim actually holds up too — my guppies have gotten noticeably more vibrant since switching over, especially the orange and red tones. Not sure if it’s the color enhancers or just better overall nutrition, but I’m not complaining. Flakes break apart easily so it’s simple to portion out for smaller fish, and I haven’t noticed much cloudiness in the water even when I’ve slightly overfed (oops). A little container lasts a surprisingly long time since you really only need a pinch per feeding. Only minor gripe is the container isn’t the easiest to reseal super tightly, but that’s a small thing. Highly recommend if you want happy, healthy, colorful fish without breaking the bank.

My fish love this product. I don’t have any issue with cloudiness in my tank and this seems to help with how vibrant my fish colors are. Definitely worth the money.

I ordered some dwarf rasbora, flame tetra and have a betta in another tank. The rasbora and tetra are juveniles and had some shipping stress but I fed them once and their red and orange colors have already started deepening and expanding! They also LOVE IT! I can crush it easily in my fingers for smaller pieces and tinier pieces for the dwarfs. Perfect food. Came in a tightly sealed fresh container and there’s plenty of it to last a good while. Win win! Highly recommend!

I’ve used this product for years. I was Iill and couldn’t swing by the store so I ordered it. It was actually less expensive than what I pay in the store. I don’t know if it enhances the color but all my fish are bright, colorful and happy. I have 4 very large angle fish that really need cichlid food. I have over 50 platy’s and 4 gouramis that get there nourishment from these flakes. I have a 55 gallon tank with an outside filter. The angels do eat it but they also feast on the platy’s fry. They platy’s reproduce so quickly and in multiples. They are livebearers and before you know it you can have a tankful. ( like a hundred) I got the angel fish for this reason. They have controlled the reproduction. These flakes can be messy. I do have to do filter changes more often because of the overcrowding and the flaked food. You can tell the product does contain a red dye because my filter pads turn red. You can’t feed too much at one time or you will have to do more frequent water changes. Tetra does make a crunchier flake that doesn’t sink as fast and the fish have more time to eat. What I really need are some bottom feeders. My tank is a 55 gallon. If you have a smaller tank with just a few fish I would recommend an automatic feeder. You can purchase timer that puts out small amounts at various times. I have way too many platy’s. I used to sell or give them to a fish store but they closed. Most fish stores won’t take your fish because of diseases they may carry. I just have to wait till the cycle repeats and eventually is in control.

My fish tell me they like it. They say it tastes good and brightens their colors, making them more attractive to the opposite sex. It must be working, because I have a tank full of baby fish.

Good fish flakes. Fish seem to enjoy them. The fish have good color and there is not as much waste.

My fishes are healthy because of this. I make sure I always have one extra.
