What’s the difference between the $12 locus and this one which is $20?

Does the string come tied on the yoyo

The string is not attached but comes with the string which has a loop already at the end. You unscrew the yo-yo and place string on then screw back together and tighten. Hope that helps

The straight end, you untwist the end and loop it onto the yo-yo.
