amCase Chromebook Case-11.6 to 12 inch Neoprene Sleeve with Handle-Black

I have recently switched to a 13.3" Macbook Pro Retina computer and I wanted something to carry it in, without a lot of bulk. This is certainly an acceptable mode of transfer. I have found that the quality of the product is good. Although it is not quick as thick as an iPad case we purchased, this is ample to protect the outside of the laptop while in transit. Regarding the smell - there is no doubt that it has a manufacturing smell to it, but that is due to the material and will fade. There is nothing to be done about that, and unless you are ridiculously sensitive you should be fine living with it until it has a chance to air out. The inside is lined with a nice soft cloth material that feels awesome enough to wear as a comfy pair of PJs. The zipper on the outside pocket of mine had come open (teeth pulled apart) when it arrived, but one zip back and forth and the teeth were back in place and working well. I like the fact that on the outside pocket, the zipper is hidden behind the flap of the pocket itself. Seems that it is a bit less obvious, and would have some extra protection that way. Nice touch. The material is equally thick all around the laptop and offers complete scratch and scuff resistance and medium bump protection. This would likely not completely protect your laptop if it were dropped, but would certainly do a good job of keeping it safe amongst bump and bruises in a larger carry bag, or by itself. The handles feel solid, and add a great feature to carry the somewhat slippery neoprene type material it is made out of. I like that they velcro together to make them seem like one handle (there is a handle on either side of the main zipper, but they will stick together for strength and comfort). They are very comfortable to hold. I am not crazy about the soft rubber zipper pulls, but that is really personal preference. I find hard plastic or metal pulls more easy to use. I suppose I could always use some 550 cord and makes loops if I want, but it really is a nit-picky thing to mention. They function perfectly well. All in all, this is exactly what I wanted for a light-duty protection for the laptop. Also - for those like me who overprotect, this fits perfectly inside the main compartment of the "AmazonBasics 14.1 Inch Laptop and Tablet Case" for days when you want more protection and a bigger bag with a shoulder strap. As a matter of fact, I carried it to work today in this sleeve, inside the other bag, and just unzip each to remove the laptop. Hope this helps for anyone who likes to be extra careful with stuff. Ordered for my new HP 11.6 inch notebook and it fits perfectly. Not too tight and not too loose. Can't find anything near as nice for the price. Like other reviewers have noted, it has a really nice fleece-like lining. Double zippers are convenient and they seem solid. Outside pocket is nice. It's a little snug for some chargers, but it's nice to have the option. It would also be good for flash or external hard drives. Yes, it does have a strong chemical smell when taken out of the package but it fades pretty quickly. It is not a deal-breaker by any means. The handles are cool but I don't use them. What's nice is that they stay totally out of the way if you don't want to use them. As a side-note, I ordered one for my brother's new Asus 11.6" Vivobook. It fits, but is very snug. It's not a quick drop-in and pull-out case like it is for my HP. It does fit but you have to sort of work it in there. I would say it's still worth it for the price. The Asus is 11.9" in outside width. I would say that anything that width or less would be good but don't go any wider. To summarize, it's absolutely perfect for my needs. Stick to computers 11.9" wide in outside width or smaller and you will be very happy with the product.

This was exactly what I needed for my I pad

This product arrived to my house ahead of schedule. Haven't actually commuted with my MacBook Air sleeve at my college yet, but the bag fit perfectly with my MacBook and also too the laptop had a case from Kuzy on it. It's a really snug tight fit with the MacBook case on when I try to fit it in this amCase bag, but that means the laptop would be secure and safe. I like the little handles on the amCase by the way. It's really sleek. I think my only complaint would be that when I put the charger in the amCase it loses it's minimalist look. It feels really bulky with the charger in it. Maybe on the next iteration of the bag they should try to put a stretchy pocket or make that section a little bigger. Other than those two criticisms, I like it and I'm satisfied. I commute to work and college with the amCase so I think I'll be in business with this thing on my person!

I love this case, and I'd like to address a few issues brought up by other reviewers. 1. The case does have a smell when it is first removed from the plastic wrap. This is typical of neoprene. The smell dissipates very quickly. 2. The styrofoam insert keeps the case's shape while being shipped, but it should be removed before putting your Chromebook into the case. 3. Great feature: The zipper is two-way, so it can be zipped from either side or from the center. It has nice big pulls. 4. Great feature: The outer pouch has a zipper, so your accessories are secure. 5. The size is perfect. It fits snugly around my Samsung 11.6 inch Chromebook, and provides protection while being small enough to fit into my locker at work. 6. Great feature: The handles! I looked at several neoprene sleeves that for some reason did not have handles. The handles on this case have velcro to connect them when in the closed position. 7. Great feature: The soft lining is so nice. I haven't had the case long enough to determine durability, but it looks well made, and the price is terrific!

I bought the case for a new Samsung Chromebook that I bought for a trip. I need a slim case that would fit in a small carry on shoulder bag for flying. The case fits nicely and is also works well for storing the Chromebook at home. It was important that the handles folded down to fit in the shoulder bag. Having the velcro helps make a handle with enough substance for carrying around home. I was a little concerned with the reviews that mentioned the horrible smell as I have pretty pronounced chemical allergies. I envisioned the case spending a few days in the garage before using it. There was a mild odor but I was able to use the case right away. Perhaps the product had been "pre-aired" since the previous complaints or I just got lucky with the one I received. I was also a bit concerned with reviews mentioning the lack of padding in the edges where the most padding is needed. I looked at a similar Targus Slipskin case in a larger size in the store. I found the edge padding about the same on both. I think I may use a larger used laptop case, if needed, with this case inside for general use. But to date with careful handling around home I have been very happy with this case alone. I cannot speak to either the durability or the water resistance as I have not owned the case long enough nor exposed it to water. Overall I am very happy with the purchase.

Great case for my Chromebook. Comes in really handy when I need to take my Chromebook with me on the go and also great for storage. There is plenty of room inside the case for my chromebook and folders. The lining is very soft which helps keep everything safe from scratches and dings. There is a good quality zipper to keep everything inside and no worries from your chromebook or paperwork falling out which is a big plus. It also comes with a zippered compartment on the outside of the case that is great to store your pens, pencils, mouse, and charger. The handles come with Velcro to keep them together and more security for the Chromebook. I am pleased with this purchase and the price of the product. It has really kept my Chromebook and items well during travel and storage. The only downside to the fabric is that it seems to attract dust and leaves smudges when wiped. Other than that I have no complaints and am really happy with the purchase. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who needs a carrying case for the Chromebook because it really comes in handy on the go. I did purchase 2 of these and would buy more in the future.

So the product itself is great quality!I am very pleased with my purchase. Way past my expectations For only $9.99!Its a great deal you can't beat trying to get at other main department stores.It looks & feels like a great protective carrying case. The inside feels so soft,like soft short fur & nice outside material too . The only thing I would say is that when you first get the product the inside has a pretty strong odor so its best you air it out for maybe 2 days other then that 5 stars =)! I know this wasn't specifically meant for the Microsoft surface tablet but it works out great! The width is great & length I say its an 1&1/2 taller then the M$ surface but its not bulky at all. Its something I been looking for especially because its all black, with soft short white like fur in the inside to really protect the screen inside out. The color scheme actually reminded me how the M$ surface came package & presented anyways black & white lol. Plus unlike the other ones on amazon that were actually meant for the Microsoft surface they had no carrying handles and were in like bold hip colors like purple where I just wanted black to go with everyday. I needed something for carrying my tablet & traveling going out to public places. Plus it has a nice front side zipper pocket to put you power cable plug & other accessories =)

Second bag I bought, found them both of good quality and well made. The laptop fitted well and it is big enough to hold a mouse and the charger. Looks quite smart and professional, easy to carry and also offers some protection to the contents
