VCE 4-Pack HDMI 90/270 Degree Adapters, L Shape Extender, Easy Installation

I needed a 90 degree HDMI adapter to install a replacement DVD/radio entertainment unit in our travel trailer. There was severely limited space behind the new unit, and I knew that forcing the cable connection without using an adapter would likely cause premature cable failure. These adapters are really well made, and provide a great physical and electronic connection for the cable providing the signal to the TV while alleviating any unnecessary stress on the installed cable.

The TV in my living room had cables running from behind it, then down the wall (exposed) to the little shelf system we have set up with our Spectrum box and PS4. Neither my wife nor I like exposed cables, but we moved in and there were not any in-wall cables run; just a 110v duplex outlet behind the TV. After 4 months of other projects, I decided it was time to tackle this one. Here is how it went down: I used a HDMI Coax Ethernet Wall Plate on the wall next to she shelf system, had HDMI Vertical Flat Adapter plugged into the back of that outlet to reduce cable strain and ran Aurum Ultra Series - High Speed HDMI Cable with Ethernet 20 Ft up the wall, across a few feet in the attic, then down to behind the TV to the hole. That's when I enlarged the single-gang hole to a dual-gang, put in 2 Gang Multipurpose Drywall Mounting Wall Plate Bracket , flipped the breaker to off and wired the power cable to 2 Power Outlet 15A with Dual 2.4A USB Charger Port Wall Plate with LED Lighting, IQIAN 4 HDMI HDTV + 1 CAT6 RJ45 Ethernet + Coaxial Cable TV F Type Keystone Face Plate White 110v outlet. Then, I used the same HDMI angle adapters as before to reduce cable strain and used electrical tape to secure all of that the the HDMI keystone plate. Plugged in the Cat5 cable, installed the keystone plate into the dual-gang box and covered it with the plate. EVERYTHING WORKS! It's just too bad that all the work that went into this is not really seen. But that is the point after all, right?

Love these adapters. I really only needed one, but it's good to have others around and they are cheap enough to just get them. No issues with signal, picture quality, or build quality. Note the orientation of them so they work for you, but you get differnt ones. My pictures show the before and after for my application, which was using an old monitor with DVI in my current setup as a 3rd monitor in portrait mode. I already had the DVI to HDMI adapter, but the cord stuck out and was rather annoying. This tucks it right in.

I bought these so the HDMI cable in my laptop doesn't jut out so much, and instead directs more discretely towards the back of my desk. These adapters get the job done, but they're just a tad bulkier than I'd like. The "dots" pattern along with the HDMI text add some visual interest I suppose, but I'd prefer if it was a bit more subtle. I realize that's being picky, though. Ultimately, the adapter gets the job done and does exactly what I want it to without issues.

These adapters are almost perfect for use with laptops running external HDMI displays! They allow the HDMI cable to lay flat alongside the laptop without sticking way out into your workspace. Cost is minimal and I like the fact that the package includes both 90 and 270 degree adapters (right and left hand). Try them, you will like them.

Some TVs and receivers with HDMI connectors don't allow for clearance of either cables or a device such as a ROKU. IOW, the connector for a ROKU stick is straight. When I installed it on my receiver to use the ARC or CEC capability, it went straight out the back. I lost a lot (for me) of clearance behind the receiver (where the rats nest of wires usually goes) after installing a ROKU. The big thing is, some of these gender benders aren't 4k capable. I had no problem with these. I gained about 4 inches of clearance and I no longer worry about somebody else or myself breaking the ROKU connector when I move my receiver. The ROKU is tucked in tight and that was the objective.
