Ubiquiti UniFi UVC-G4-INS 5 Megapixel Indoor 2K Network Camera - Color

I bought one of these to use as a baby monitor, and I have been very happy with the performance and value. The wifi connectivity and usb-c power means I can use it anywhere with a battery pack.

I got a great black Friday deal on this, about $30 less than regular price. It is my first security camera and so my first unifi and I am very happy with it. Running it from inside facing out a window, it included the option to disable IR which made this possible as otherwise all you would see is the reflection of the glass. It has great video quality and very simply to set since it is a wi-fi camera. Using with a UDM-SE and this with unifi-Protect has turned out to be a great experinced for my first steps into survailance systems.

I got this for my cat babies bathroom area to track their health (to know who is having diarrhea). Connecting was easy and was able to check how my cats are doing.

I've had the Dream Router for a few years but was using a cheap Chinese camera. It finally died so I got the G4 camera to integrate with my UDR. Setup was flawless; it adopted within seconds and configuration was easy. I'd like to get more but I don't really need to; it covers most of my apartment as is. Oh, and the night vision is fantastic as is the audio.

Overall, the camera is great and performs very well. The only improvement I'd like to see is a longer USB-C power cable included in the package. If you want to install the camera in a higher location, the included cable may not be long enough, which means you'll need to purchase a longer cable separately.

I bought this camera to watch my fish tank when we were on vacation. I know, I know... but, the tank was new and I was more concerned that it would overflow or the power would cut off and everything would die when we were away. The camera itself is great - much smaller in size than I was expecting. The image quality is perfect and it paired immediately upon plugging it in. All of the Ubiquiti products I have in my house have far exceeded my expectations with very few if any issues.

Camera repeatedly disconnects from access point (AP located less than 3 meters away and is facing camera directly) and fails to reconnect on its own. Not reliable, especially if using as security camera.

This is a great camera that is easy to set up and use. The only downfall is it has terrible night vision.

Not a pro camera by any means, but does the job well. Reseller is almost doubling the price, though.

The camera stops connecting after 3 hours. Both a firmware reset and factory reset was conducted 3 times with the issue continuing to return. Essentially it will only work 3 hours and then never again until a factory reset.
