Fire-Maple 1.4L Antarcti Stainless Steel Camping Frying Pan Skillet

I will only cook with stainless steel for health reasons. Camping pans tend to be aluminium which are prone to surface breakdown and accidental consumption. So after a long search I found this beauty. It is the perfect size for 4 rashers of bacon. I had to cook the mushrooms after. The trick to non stick cooking in stainless steel is heat the pan empty. Once a flick of water beads on the surface it is ready for adding the oil then the food. This pan is neither heavy nor light and so doesn’t distort with heat. The food cooked evenly and wasn’t too big for the campervan gas hob. The handle is sturdy and didn’t get hot. After use the handle folds into the pan. It comes in a mesh drawstring bag which was ideal to store the stainless steel gas kettle on top of and it didn’t rattle. Well worth the cost. I hope you found my review helpful.

Great purchase, arrived quickly… come in a little net bad, feels well made and solid? I can imagine it will distribute the heat pretty good along the bottom.I’ve not had a chance to use it yet but I’ve go no doubt it will perform great and last a long time.I like the handle folds in my old mine stick fire maple handle folded the opposite direction and was weak to the poInt I lost food on a weeks camp..Anyway this one is welcomed addition to my camping kit.

Have used many many times and is a perfect items for my bushcraft cooking sessions. Ensure it gets nice and hot before cooking.

I’ve only used this for a weekends worth of food but it has been a great, compact frying pan. The handle locks in place and is very sturdy while cooking. I made a bunch of bacon, sausages, eggs for breakfast for a few people and with a bit of scrubbing it all came off. Scrubbing too hard will leave scratch marks but can be bypassed with sponge pad. Comes with a netting which helps protect while travelling. For anyone who is weight conscious, this pan is probably not for you. Bit pricey but I think it will pay for itself in time with longevity. Overall, very pleased with it!

Love this pan. Built to last and perfect for the trail. It is a little weighty buy that's something I can put up with knowing that durability is a key component with this product. My only criticism is that it doesn't cone with a lid. Other than that, I would recommend this pan.

Cooks well and I use it as a plateI bought another for my partner to use as a plateI warm it up for her and it holds the heat in wellIt has a good thickness to it but it's not to heavy. Definitely recommend it

Used for the first time on Saturday at the Lake District on a wild camp, a seriously quality made pan. Use a generous amount of oil and keep moving your food so it doesn’t stick, after a few uses I could tell it was becoming more non stick. This is now classed as one of my essential items when wild camping. Beast

Induction Cooktop Compatible!The Fire-Maple Antarcti 8" is COMPATIBLE with induction cooktops. I tested it by boiling water. (Magnets also stick to the multi-layer bottom of pan, but not the sides.) So this will work for emergency grid-down cooking using a Jackery solar generator. (I tested cooking using Nuwave PIC Diamond 30592LE precision induction cooktop.)The handle on this pan works great.

Having been annoyed at the rubbish scratched toxic teflon frypans usually found in holiday cabins when travelling, I decided to see if a 'travel frypan' in stainless steel existed.They do, I checked out a few here and read reviews, and about to give up when I found this little beauty.Great medium size, foldable handle and storage bag to make travel packing easy.It even works on my induction cooktop at home, so have tried it out before I take it on travels soon.Very impressed, it feels good quality, not light, not too heavy, it's goldilocks status!I have a $200 large SS frypan, but can see me using this at home for medium sized cooking amounts. It cooked beautifully and cleaning a breeze.Just remember, never put a hot stainless steel pan under cold water, it doesnt like it and can buckle. Just let the temperature reduce. I added a little dish soap and warm water to the pan and left it on the Cooktop.After eating I returned and washed the pan easily.I just love this pan, and super good value for price I paid. There's nothing I dont like about it, who'd thought, a folding handle too, love it!!!

Ein rundum gelungenes Produkt, nicht zu schwer, nicht zu leicht, gerade richtig, um ein solides Gefühl von Qualität zu vermitteln. Es ist zwar kein Produkt in Militärqualität, aber fast – dieses Ding wird lange halten. Die kleine Metallplatte am Griff dient als Verriegelung – eine nette Idee. Nichts Kompliziertes – genau wie es sein sollte, aber es vermittelt einen Eindruck von Zuverlässigkeit. Kein Aluminium, kein dünnes „Titanium“, sondern einfach guter alter Edelstahl. Genug Platz für drei Kinderportionen, zwei Erwachsenenportionen (normale Größe) und/oder eine größere Portion. Perfekt.

This is the best pan I've ever bought. The deep walls make it possible to boil water, broil meat, and whatever else you want. The even heat is spot on and it cooks your food to perfection.
